I was excited when I heard Chipotle was coming to Ft. Mill because I would no longer have to drive to Charlotte if I had a craving. I'll start by saying I am not a fan of the location. The main road is very busy, so it is not easy to exit quickly during some hours of the day. I went to this location three times before my rating. Even though this location is new and we have an employee shortage, I still expect a certain level of service. My first visit was not bad except for the 30 minutes I was in line. Again, it was a new locations so I gave it a pass. The second visit I decided to use the pick up lane to bypass the line. I got there after my pick up time and sat there for 8-10 minutes. I could see someone at the window putting food in bags but she never looked up or over to the window. Another girl came up and I could tell she asked if I had been helped. She then came over and helped me. When I got home I noticed my queso was missing from the bag. I should have checked. It was my fault to expect my order to be correct? The last time I went was today. I ordered online but did pickup inside instead. My pickup was for 3:40. I got there at 3:45 and only three people were in the regular line. I also noticed one other person waiting for pickup. At 3:50 there was no longer anyone in line, but my food was not ready. Then two people came in from the Chipotle lane asking about their order. One person had a 3:30 pickup. Apparently the pickup station ran out of food? Meanwhile one guy in the kitchen is playing with the strainer and two others are standing waiting on customers (nobody was in line). I asked if they could make some of the pick up orders since nobody was in line and they had food at their station. They checked with someone and was told no. The manager never said anything. Nobody said anything until the customers waiting asked what was going on. I got my food 25 minutes after it was scheduled to be ready. My queso was in the bag but I found my burrito bowl was missing items once I got home and dug in. I have been to the Charlotte location several times and never had these issues. Again, I will keep in mind that this location is new and the people are new. I would expect someone to set expectations about the food being delayed, especially with several people waiting. I guess I’ll take the 10 minute drive to Charlotte next time I...
Read moreI really wish I had better things to say, however, this was my third visit since they opened & each time it somehow got worse. I planned my evening so that I had plenty of time to get my order due to the last two trips taking more time than originally expected. Despite this, it still took 45 minutes before I even made it up to the counter to order. One of the workers mistook my order and made the incorrect size - I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to cause more work for them. During my check-out at the register, I asked about getting the items that come with the kids meal & was informed that because the worker made a mistake they would either have to charge me an extra $3 for the meal or throw away the already prepared meal & start over. The people ahead and behind me said something about how it was ridiculous to throw away perfectly good food & waste more time to make it again, so the cashier quietly put my food back into the bag - then he went to the back to complain about me and my order BEFORE finally checking me out. I know that everywhere is short-staffed & honestly that’s fine. It is what it is, I truly tried to plan accordingly - but it was the rude attitude and abysmal service that truly killed it for me. I’m completely fine with longer wait times, but kindness does NOT take much. I worked in the service industry for years & just cannot believe how any place can run this poorly. At this point, chipotle should clear its staff and wait till they can hire better people (at a strong hourly...
Read moreWe ordered Chipotle online and drove there to pick it up. When we pulled up, this girl with long black ponytails looked at our car and gave us a look. Then we realized we had accidentally ordered from the wrong location.
Since we were already there, we decided to just go inside and place a new order. It was around 9:45 PM and they close at 11 PM, so still over an hour before closing.
When we told the guy inside that we needed three separate orders, he rolled his eyes and said sarcastically, “The day keeps getting better and better.,” while huffing and puffing and just moving with an attitude.
We tried to order quesadillas, but he told us they only make those through online orders. So we went back to our car to order online instead.
After placing the new online order, we went back through the drive-thru. The same girl with long black pigtails who we talked to before came back, but she had this annoyed vibe like she didn’t want to be there—even though it was still an hour before closing. We told her we had an online order, and she walked away without saying anything.
Then the same guy from inside came and asked for our name. It took about 10 minutes of sitting in the car for them to give us our food.
i understand we get tired at work and wanna go home...
