Rating: ⭐⭐ (2/5) Visited: Recently | Group Outing Visited Buffalo Reefs with a group of friends. I’ve been here before and, to be honest, I didn’t care for the wings back then—they were overly sauced and ended up slimy, which really ruined the fried texture. This time around, I decided to try the burger instead, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t much of an upgrade. The patty tasted like something from a high school cafeteria—plain and uninspired. That said, the curly fries were the highlight of the meal—crispy, flavorful, and definitely the best part of what I ordered. I also liked the large drink cups, which are a good value. Overall, the wings can be a hit or miss depending on the day, but they’re usually way too drenched in sauce. It’s disappointing because a well-fried wing shouldn’t be soggy. I wouldn’t choose this place on my own, but I’ve come along when friends suggest it. Most of the time, they end up realizing why I don’t recommend it. Verdict: Decent fries and drinks, but the main dishes leave a lot to be desired. 2 out of 5 stars.

I have eaten at Buffalo reef many times in my life. This Will be the third review I have done in my life I am 63 years old so I ordered 50 hot wings, a side of sweet potato fries, and a side of potato salad. Their wings are delicious. The sweet potato fries are very good but now let me get to the issue I have with the potato salad. I attached a photo. I believe there is only four fork fulls of potato salad in the container. The problem I have is it cost $1.99 I’ve never paid this much for potato salad even on vacations to 5 star restaurants. I called the manager and she seemed not to give a damn. I believe just with her attitude about it. I will probably never go there again. There are other wing places here in Fort Walton Beach and I hope the manager reads this. It just happened tonight on February 9 on a Friday evening.

Deliciously friendly and local, not a franchise but a family owned business. They have been serving up great wings, etc for a good minute, Good clientele with a sense of humor. Barbie, pictured, was left by a guest and has been seen at various locations in the restaurant, during the "C" thing with a mask. LOL! That captures the spirit of the place well. Have been eating here for years, never a bad meal. Note: they HAVE the franchise like flavors, but to me their in-house sauce is better. Recommended!!

I have been coming to buffalo's reef since I was a child.. I have literally spent thousands of dollars eating here and sent them years of recommended customers.. Let's talk about the worst experience that I have ever had at the Reef . First the waitress, she was very sweet this was NOT her fault.. So.. today was my birthday and It was a pretty poopy day. My oldest son was home for the first time in 6 years so it was my idea for all of us to go to Buffalo's reef because it's my favorite place to go. My son that was down ordered the teriyaki wings. When they were brought to our table, they were brought at 2 separate times as we were told that the kitchen had forgotten to make some. ...... They smelled really WRONG when they came to the table and there was no sweetness to them Whatsoever just burned saltiness. The waitress offered to replace them with something else and apologized and left. Then some woman manager spontaneously appeared at our table and began arguing with my son that there was nothing wrong with the wings that the sauce is bottled and that's what it's supposed to taste like then she stood there staring at my son as tho challenging him when he said well great guess i dont get any food and she said ok and walked off..... SO embarassing as Im the one that picked the place I told the waitress that I'm sorry.I wasn't going to allow my son to be talked down to . I told the waitress to get me a box I would not be eating here we were leaving she was very embarassed and apologized repeatedly . I asked for my bill As I was embarrassed for my son because the manager on duty had treated him badly. I stopped and spoke to the manager again. I told her she had ruined my birthday dinner with my children and as many years as I have been eating at their facility, they have lost a real genuine customer that has enjoyed their establishment My entire life .. The manager Lisa needs to be terminated. She has ZERO Customer service skills.. it's really stupid to run off your good long time customers. who refers hundreds of customers every year. Thanks for the Happy Birthday Buffalos Reef you should be ashamed. $96.00 Bill for 3 ppl 1 meal completely inedible and left at the table. I hope that another one of the 3 managers reaches out. It is high time that the other managers read the reviews about this woman and do something about it. She is running off your genuinely...

Place going downhill, compare recent reviews to old ones that are keeping the ratings up.

I have consistently eaten here for 3 years and I order the exact same thing. Unfortunately, today my order was brought out as boneless wings instead of traditional. I immediately notified the waitress and she went to correct the order. Apparently the manager told her not to because she had written boneless down. I spoke with manager and she asked if I ordered traditional. I told her that I was pretty sure I did but can't prove where the communication went wrong. I was not willing to throw the waitress under the bus because honestly either of us could have made a mistake. All I wanted was 10 traditional wings. She said that sometimes they replace orders but the waitress said that I ordered boneless and I was out of luck. I later asked the waitress if I ordered boneless because in our initial conversation neither of us was sure where the miscommunication happened. She said she said that to the manager but "she didn't listen to me". So I spoke with the owner and let her know that the manager had not replaced my order even when the waitress had not actually been certain I had misordered. The owner was unnecessarily defensive and basically said that since they were "trying to stay afloat" they weren't going to replace my 10 chicken wings. She was also pretty combative and interrupted/spoke over me mid-sentence multiple times. So I paid the tab and immediately left and gave my order to a homeless man. One less regular customer over 10 wings. The wings are great just be sure to bring a notary to take sworn statements on your order or you may end up having to pay for whatever they bring to your table.

Maybe customer service is why they are having...

This is the second time I got a bad experience. The first time the girl that served us was, in my opinion, racist. As soon as she heard my accent, she went out of her way to not understand me to the point of asking my friend to translate!! I was just asking for hot sauce! But today's experience was just awful! I ordered a chicken tender wrap, I added the option of tossing them in hot sauce. When I received my food, the wrap was leaking sauce and oil, to the point where the flour tortilla was so soggy it would not hold my food. The tortilla was not grilled and therefore when soggy it became very doughy and chewy... not what I want in a wrap! So I told the waitress, who then decided to tell me: if I didn't want a soggy wrap I shouldn't have asked for it tossed (their menu has this as an option). I said then to please take back the wrap and grill the tortilla. She responds with I cannot take back food because it's against the law, you know cross contamination (what? right). -I asked if then I can get a new one done, with the tortilla grilled. She responds there is no way they can grill the tortilla because they have open fire grills (umm, ok?...) At this point I am so frustrated I am ready to give up and just not eat. My friend then suggests maybe getting a bun and making it into a sandwich. (notice it was my friend's idea, not the waitress). When she brings back the bun she tells me, "We even grilled it for you". (What?? you can grill a bun but not a tortilla??!!)

Summarize the experience? I ended up with mediocre food, an upset stomach from getting annoyed, and a grease stain on my sleeve from the oil running down my arm like a river whenever I picked up the wrap. NOT RECOMMEND...
