Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

I know it's a family restaurant. However I have never understood why when there's an empty restaurant and I'm in there with one other adult. The next table that gets seated full of kids has to be right next to us? Atmosphere usually includes the background music. In this case though the background music reminded me of something that might be heard at a rave! Not your typical background music at an Applebee's. The kids in the booth next to us seem to think it was in fact time to kick and jump as that's partially what the music inspired. Again that would have been not so bad for us to have to endure if the host had considered seating them at any of the other number of locations available throughout the restaurant! Over the years I've enjoyed some different foods at Applebee's. I used to love the salmon with the bourbon sauce and mashed potatoes. I think sometime around 17 years ago I really enjoyed the hamburger that was designed by Tyler Florence. However in recent years have had a hard time finding something that I crave. Something that would just bring me back to this restaurant. This brings me to my last comment. This one's more of an opinion and not so much the experience that I experienced this particular Applebee's. "There's no such thing as boneless wings!". At least if you're going to offer something like boneless wings. Have actual wings available! Otherwise you're literally just offering chicken nuggets. I like wings and wings have bones in them!

To summarize. Please change your host training. Select the music more appropriate for dinner. Find some food that brings people back. At least have chicken wings if you're going to advertise...

Really hate that I have to do this. Ordered tonight close to 7. Said my order would be ready at 7:23. Got there at 7:15 wasn't a big deal I can wait. Waited at the car side for close to 30 minutes when the waitress came out I asked if my food was cold, she said it shouldnt its been under the heat lamp. when told the person handing me my food that we were missing a whole steak I was told that I didn't order it. told her I did the 2 for 20. She said she would check. Waited another 10-15 minutes came out and told her we were now missing mac n cheese was told again she didn't think I ordered it but I showed her my receipt she was very apologetic and said let me check another 10 minutes. That mac n cheese was the hottest thing in the car. I asked for the manager. She came out and asked what was wrong and said let's check the food together. I told her everything and she said she'll bring it inside to check it and throw in a dessert. Another 15 minutes go by and she said she remade the food and honestly I don't think she did but I was exhausted. She also said she threw a couple coupons. We went our separate ways but something told me to check my bag.... I was STILL missing something I went back to the parking spot and called. Told the manager I was missing the queso. After waiting a little while she comes rushing out and trips face planting on my car🤦‍♀️ Please get it together. Everyone was nice and apologetic but this is not what I wanted to deal with after...

Service was the worst in a long time. Saturday at 3ish waited was rude acting as if we were inconvenience her. They weren't busy. Sad when another lady sat down with 3 young boys and her attitude was nicer. Sad when the 8yr little girl with me noticed and made comment. It got worse when I let her know I had gluten allergy. I ebbed with only a side salad but she still brought to table with croutons!! There was no apology and again made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. My ice tea was warm. Same with water both had 3 pieces of ice half melted. Don't recommend with this is how your treated. And not once when asked a question you didn't get a sincere answer or offer to check. You got an unfriendly reply "manager said we can't promiss anything is safe" remind you she didn't check with anyone it was instant reply. 1st I told her I am aware that can't promiss against cross contamination. But when asked if fries are dedicated fryer or shared with other items and if dressing had an ingredient that's a hidden gluten. I still typed my 20%. NEVER CAME BACK TO CHECK ON REFILLS NOTHING. SHE WAS HARD TO FIND. she had 3 tables. One was there with there food when we sat. And last with kids little after we ordered. Won't be going back it was my little cousins favorite place to go for chicken stripes. Our family as a whole won't be coming back. She was upset that she didn't finish her food.
