Andy's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Every time I order a Oreo concrete at Mcpherson location they only put maybe a tsp size Oreo scoop in a size small or medium concrete. When the chick handed it to me it seriously looks like I ordered a vanilla custard no Oreo and my kids question why I’m accepting that bs. I can goto mcds get Oreo McFlurry for a 3rd of the price and get wayyy more Oreos. I don’t understand why I’m paying $8 for a cup of vanilla custard with a few specs of Oreos?? I know Oreos aren’t expensive, anyone can buy a huge party size for under $4 why is Andy being so skimpy? Andy gets their Oreos for wholesale prices too! We also asked if they can turn the pecan banana split into a concrete. The girl with the coke bottle glasses made it for us and I was hesitating if she could see well because of how thick and foggy her lenses were. My mom is legally blind and she wouldn’t be the best candidate wielding a sharp knife on unpeeled bananas at a custard shop. Well I got my answer when I had 3 huge unpeeled slices of banana in my concrete and the bottom of concrete was all vanilla custard. She didn’t remove the peel before chopping then huge complaint , then the guy yelling at her to hurry it up. Was it really that necessary there was only 1 car behind me. Had he not rushed her I’m sure she would’ve finished peeling the banana and preparing it correctly. It also helps to hire staff that can see what they’re doing properly. This is food. People have allergies, too. She then dropped the very sharp knife onto the floor. He yelled at her for that too. I spent $14 bucks for a vanilla custard and a concrete that wasn’t edible since having to eat around the unpeeled huge chunks of banana. I like this place alot, I just have a small wish I guess for this place to be 5 stars. I want more flavor options, maybe a updated menu with thoughtful ideas maybe even from its customers on new combinations of different types of flavors and toppings, or maybe even new types of frozen treats, like froyo, or who knows what else they could do, maybe frozen pudding, or something. This isn't a Andy's specific issue I don't think, I think all ice cream places should do this. Maybe it's just me, but I have felt stuck with the limited menu offerings of everything I eat these days, and really would love it if we could get some fresh new ideas and recipes for us to become our new favorite. I'm in no way targeting Andy's but I think they could usher in a new flavor revolution that would make them shine in the vast bore of modern, same as it always was menus. I mean, how hard would it be to ask customers for input on this, hire one, just one genius chef who is passionate about this issue as I am and this could forever be the pivotal point in great new, and super cool and exciting frozen treats that are not what their parents enjoyed for like almost 100 years or something close to that.. Talk about being stuck in their ways huh? Please don't take this as a scathing complaint about Andy's.. Just as a way to drive more business to their business. BEST ICE CREAM (I mean Frozen Custard) EVER. Omg this place is delicious with a capital D. If you're nearby you should definitely give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

When we arrived the line was super long, that's how you know it's good. After waiting a while we finally got to order. The man taking our order was so kind. He made sure that our order was correct and answered all of our questions. It was an amazing drive thru experience.

The frozen custards were AMAZING. Fyi they taste just like ice cream. I ordered the BYO Shake. It was vanilla custard with cheesecake topping. I also ordered an Expresso shake. They both came out DELICIOUS. The Expresso shake tasted just like a Starbucks drink, but better. And the cheesecake one tasted just plane AWESOME. And it's made fresh daily. It is definitely worth it.
