Went over the weekend for the soft opening. The food was amazing and the service was great. They were a little light on a few things, but that's to be expected with a soft opening and they are expanding as they love forward. Both menu and drink options. Small location, but it felt cozy and relaxed.
We got the focaccia, which was crispy outside, but soft and spongy inside. Then we shared the carbonara. Perfect al dente pasta and the sauce was rich and creamy. We also shared the ragu de coda, made with braised oxtail. The meat was tender and flavorful, the pasta cooked just as well as the carbonara. I'm not a wine drinker but my wife said the red she had was delicious.
Portions were sized well. Those three were the perfect amount for the two of us. Right at the edge of too much. We left full, but not uncomfortably so. The meal was decently priced, and as they expand their menu there will be even more options.
We will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes, and more of that focaccia!
!!!UPDATE!!! We went again last night and enjoyed the patio area for dinner. Food selections: we began with the focaccia and the house salad. The bread was still delicious, and served with a slightly spicy oil for dipping. The salad was light with a delicious dressing. For main dishes we ordered the carbonara, the lasagna, and the arrabbiatta. The carbonara was made traditionally with no cream or butter. The lasagna layered with a creamy bechamel. The arrabbiatta has a fresh tomato sauce with the addition of some spices peppers to add a little spice. To finish the evening we ordered the tiramisu and panna cotta with coffee. The panna cotta was smooth and creamy with fantastic fresh fruit. The tiramisu was similarly delicious.
I can highly suggest this restaurant as both a "date night" location, as well as a place for a relaxed evening with friends or family. Definitely worth a trip, but probably a few, so you can try all the...
Read moreMy wife and I were recommended this restaurant and were looking forward to our date night. She is 36 weeks pregnant so this was one of our last “date” nights before the baby came. The restaurant was busy and we were seated. It took a little bit for the waiter to come over which wasn’t a big deal. He was extremely personable and kind. My wife started with a mocktail and I had an aperol spritz. I ordered the Suppli Al Telefono and my wife ordered the Focaccia. The Suppli Al Telefono came in about 10 mins. It was cold - the sauce was nice but you would expect to have some warm cheese within. After waiting another 15 mins, we asked about the Focaccia and he apologized because he didn’t put it in. My wife asked to try the Crustini as well. To be fair, the waiter comped the Focaccia. This was the best part of the meal. They both took another 10 mins to come out. For the entrees, my wife ordered the gnocchi, I ordered the cacio e pepe, and we both wanted to try the All’arrabbiata . Specifically, the cacio e pepe was for me. I ordered another Aperol Spritz. The food came out in a normal timeframe, but there was no cacio e pepe. We waited about 10 mins after the initial food came out and asked. The waiter said I didn’t think you wanted it. He went back to put it in and they had run out. My wife said the gnocchi was fine, a little overcooked for her liking. The arrabiata was decent. In the end, I ate half the Suppli (very disappointed), half the focaccia (very good), and two bites of the arrabiata. No dinner for me on our date night. The waiter comped my second aperol. This took a couple hours for me not to get dinner. Service is slow, but you can understand that. The waiter did say next time he would put something by my name to get a discount next time we came in, but I do not see why we would ever want to do that. I was really excited to try this spot and it completely missed the mark...

Terrible service from a server that didn't know the soup of the day and didn't know what was in it. He described it as white bean soup. It arrived with nearly no bean in it and loaded with shrimp. The broth was very good but personally would have skipped it had I known about the seafood in it.
Pappardelle was ordered with meatballs and arrived as bolognese. Excellent perfectly cooked fresh pasta in a delicious looking ragu but unfortunately the amount of cracked pepper made it inedible. I was able to take two bites. Chicken saltimbocca was horrible. Very dry, rubber like chicken wrapped in prosciutto topped with sage in a mediocre sauce over whipped potatoes.
We arrived at opening at 4pm and were allowed to be seated at the table of our choice provided we knew we had to depart at 5:45pm due to another customer's reservation. Although the server recognized there was an issue with the food the slow service pressed us for time when he offered to replace the meal and offered a free dessert so we refused and did not want to take anything to go.
The solution on his end was to drop the check and I was charged for all items. I paid the bill and I hoped this place figures out what hospitality and customer service is. The place will hopefully improve in time as there were some bright spots eating there and it's a beautiful space. From this experience though I don't think they will get a 2nd...
