We went to First Watch after our son's flag football game, with our friends who had came to watch. We had a total of 5 kids 1 baby and 4 adults and understood there would probably be a wait. So when my husband went in to put us on this and said the wait would be 20 - 30 mins we all agreed that was reasonable for the kids. We took the out back and let them play on the air plane that is around the walking trail. After about 25 mins my husband went back to check on our table je was told that they were getting the table ready. We were all okay with that. After 20 mins and no notification that our table was ready we went to go stand in the lobby/waiting area. Where we first encountered Kinndey. She informed us that we were blocking the cash register and needed to move over which we tried to do as best as possible. After another 10 mins waiting I asked Kinndey how much long it would be for us to be seated. She asked for the name, which I provided. When she then said your wait is an hour to hour and a half. I was shocked by the difference of time that was told to us in the bed of 20 - 30 mins. When I mentioned this to her all she had to day was I am not sure why they told you that for nonchalantly. Since it seemed not to be any concern of hers, I asked to speak to the manager which she informed me she was the manager. I explained that we should have been give the correct wait time for us to decided what would be best for our party.she ljust looked at me. I said how much longer is the wait, where she referenced they were still waiting on another table to finish to add to the tables they had started setting up for our party. I asked her to remove us from the list and we left. I have been a customer for First Watch since they opened the Alliance location. We enjoy taking family and friends there especially when they have never been and usually go at least once a week. Unfortunately it looks as though that will no longer happen. I can over look an employee not quoting the wait time correctly, they are human and make mistakes and they could have been new. What I can not look over is a manager who will not acknowledge when a mistake was done our take ownership for it. Clearly customer service means nothing to her and neither did the amount of money a group of 10 would spend. It is sad to dee the service industry decline as much as it has and yet still want to ask for tips and busy when servicing the customer is not their top priority. We will find a new breakfast spot, because Kinndey showed me with her lack of action and acknowledgement of the incorrect information provided to us. That we do not matter and that she had better things to do then service the customer in the establishment that she manages. I am sure that First Watch and Kinndey will be just fine go forward. I hope they know that being kind and acknowledging when something is wrong is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength and that they care about your customers. Because we do not have to patron this...
Read moreThis was our first time at First Watch and we were excited. We had just finished a 5K and were starving this morning. We went in and were on the list for 6 people (there are only 3 tables that can accommodate that so plan accordingly if you want several people seated for brunch). 30 minutes went by, and we went back inside and let the hostess know we’d be okay with splitting the group so we can get up the list faster. She said that’s fine, but we need to wait our turn. We assured her we understood that, but we want to be considered for ALL the tables open, not just the 3 that were occupied with people who had been done and cashed out since we arrived and had been waiting. The hostess got a bit snippy and someone who presumingly was a manager came up and offered to seat us outside where there were a few small tables open for open seating. Our kids were getting frustrated at this point of an hour waiting so we said sure. This particular day was very windy and cloudy. It was about to rain. When we sat in the area passing the covered patio, we realized there were 2-3 larger open tables out there under the covered patio. Why were we not offered to sit there? Don’t know. We were seated and about the 10 minutes later, a nice waiter named Alex walked by and asked if we had been helped (so said manager and hostess did not assign us a waiter either). He was nice enough to take our drink orders even though we likely were not in his section being that it was the outskirts of the patio where we didn’t really “belong”. The service was extremely slow. We got drinks 10 minutes later or so. The kids’ drinks got knocked over by the wind, and we got rained on while eating. This entire ordeal could’ve been avoided had we been seated under the outdoor patio area that by that point was STILL open. Alex was very nice and offered to move us but he had to check to make sure it was okay, and I can’t say we had much faith in the hostess telling him it indeed would be for us. The cons? Well, the hostess and manager seemed to extend the spitefulness over to our service and we spent about 1.5 hours longer there than we normally would have. We got rained on, all while diners who had been finished the entire time under the covered patio watched to their amusement. The service was extremely slow and we were “forgotten” so to speak — though Alex did try his best with the circumstances. The hostess could’ve been friendlier. The manager could’ve gotten us out of the wind and rain if she wanted to but didn’t. The pros? The food was good. Alex was sweet. The take out bag was sturdy.
In conclusion, would I come here again? No Would I door dash from here again? No Will I use the nice large take out bag to store yard trimmings and leaves in? Yes
I added a pic of our wonderful view from the boonies. You can see tumbleweeds if you squint...
Read moreI love the First Watch on North Tarrant but have recently moved closer to the Alliance area so I was super excited to find out that this location was opening, I had to get my Brilliant Beet Toast fix. 😉 On Saturday Feb. 8th at 11am, a good friend and I decided to give this location a try. When we arrived, there was a 45min wait so we looked to see if there was seating at the bar, there was not. We went ahead and put our name down on the waiting list. After standing around for a few minutes we noticed a couple getting up from the bar so we quickly grabbed one on the two seats (another bar guest had grabbed the other free seat). We proceeded to ask the bartender for menus and we ordered two mimosas. The bartender (a tall dark haired female with glasses) didn’t think to ask if we were going to order food and went ahead and closed us out. We enjoyed our drinks for approximately 5 minutes, until the bartender told us we had to MOVE. She totally tried to kick us out of the bar!!! When I asked her why we had to move she stated that there was someone waiting to sit at the bar. Her response made no sense so I proceeded to ask again why we had to move. She then stated that the waiting guest was going to eat (I guess she is psychic). I then told her that I also wanted to order food and that’s when she asked if we wanted to stay seated there. (I obviously wanted to stay seated there since I was already seated there.) I just couldn’t believe the way she treated us, at that point I felt totally uncomfortable sitting at the bar so my friend went to ask the Host if we could be seated outside. (Not many people wanted outside seating due to the colder weather) I do want to say that the Host, our outside server and the beet toast were GREAT but the bartender definitely made a horrible first impression. It’s the following day now and I can’t stop thinking about her rude and...
