I came here by happenstance. My coffee spot around the corner had closed 15 minutes before my arrival. (Insert violin -- make it woe filled.)

But then (insert happy ta-da!) I saw Mamaka! I looked on the menu for something -- ANYTHING with caffeine. There it was -- coy and reflecting my current sans caffeine mood -- Gnarly.

A gorgeous red head took me on a verbally lucid tour of what my palette could experience if I would acquiesce to her wisdom. I succumbed and then I added the Salted Caramel Bowl. She smiled and told me I had made a good choice. She put in my order while another began chatting me up making my coffee drink. Listen, I had been fully prepared to make bad decisions. I was going to have sugary coffee with an extra shot and coffee cake and I was mad I had been deprived of these horrible life choices, but Mamaka staff did the damn thing.

I had an AMAZING coffee drink, matter of fact I let my mom taste it -- I couldn't share it fully I was still overcoming my mood. However, I did (reluctantly) share my bowl. I went back the very next day.

Can you recreate this at home? Absolutely not. And I'll tell you why -- when you're in a horrible mood (because you're hangry and Sweaty) who in your house will put up with you??? That's right! NO-bodeeee! Even your momma will send you outside in this heat and tell you to drink from the hose and wash off that attitude. They don't do that here, so be nice...

I hate leaving reviews like this but it's necessary. I walk into the store and there's 2 people in front of me. I grab the menue and I wait. 2 more women come in after me. The girl at the register proceeded to ignore me and take the women's order that came in after me. I let it go but 2 more women come in after and the girl doesn't even look my way and takes their order, while continuingto ignore me. I would never recommend this place. I've never been so disrespected..... I can't find away to respond to your message so I'm just going to add to my post. I've experienced enough in my life to know what's going on. I wasn't acknowledged at any point when I entered that place. Not when I walked in, not when I was looking for a menu and not when I put the menu down and stood in front of the register to order. She never even glaced at me. It had nothing to do with the assumption of me still looking at the menu or waiting to ask a question. I know what the issue was but it isn't necessary to speak on it. This place is fantastic, I’ve gone 3 times now, once as dine in and the others as to-go. The staff is super nice and they are all upbeat. I really like their outdoor seating/swing option. They are super quick to make your order and everything is made and blended to order. Their homemade granola is the best I’ve ever had. My only suggestions are for them to get some sort of microphone or something similar for calling out orders and having a designated pick up spot. When we dined in it was super hard to hear them calling out my name and then I had to follow her around the bar to get my order. I would also say to get a bit better at names, maybe asking how to spell them so there is no confusion on if your name is being called or not. Otherwise this place is awesome and I will be...
