Morgan's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Morgan’s Ice Cream is located off of South Main Street in an eclectic area of Fort Worth that is quickly growing. Now home to unique bars, restaurants, food trucks and specialty shops, it’s a wonderful place to park and food hop. Morgan’s is a family owned business that features specialty ice creams that change on a rotating basis and includes offerings that are Vegan and Gluten free.

Pros: We arrived shortly before closing time and were welcomed in with a warm smile and a very helpful server. I ordered two scoops of ice cream. The first was their top seller - Strawberry Magic. It was a delightful combination of Strawberry ice cream with chunks of Buttenrcake mixed in. I also ordered the Lemon Oreo ice cream which was lemony, salty and sweet with chunks of lemon Oreos. I upped my ice cream game by enjoying mine in a waffle bowl, but they also offer a traditional waffle cone or cup. It was as magical as it sounds and the best way to end our date night!

Cons: parking is always an issue in this area, so be prepared to circle the block a few times or walk. During the week, they are only open from 5:00 - 9:00 pm, with hours subject to change based on...

In Fort Worth for a short work trip I googled top places to find an ice cream. After a wander around downtown I took the tunnel south to find Morgan’s. The store was empty but filled with the awesome welcome I got from Mila. As a first-timer, Mila guided me through the process - I settled on a double scoop (one flavour of the month - the breakfast of champions one - and a scoop of the recommended Strawberry Magic). Two delicious scoops packed with innovative flavour and ingredients and served in the most special, delicate cone. Chefs kiss!! I chose to hide from the heat inside the store and sat against a pink wall. So good. Mila and I chatted easily though she never disturbed or distracted me from eating my delicious treat. Ice cream lover here, after looking for some ice cream shops in the area I settled with Morgan’s to try something new.

In the process of ordering I was intrigued by their unique flavors, after asking to possibly do samples, I was informed that it’s not possible which almost defeats the purpose of having unique flavors.

I enjoyed the Fudged Up Chocolate, but the milkshake I ordered didn’t have a lid to keep everything in place which seems inconvenient for the car setting.

Finally, the menu prices are wrong. The milkshakes are $8 but listed at $7. After bringing this to the staffs attention I was answered with “I’ll change it.” which is good news but is very misleading to the customer. Overall Morgan’s is a nice new small business and I can only see it...
