TLDR: If you’re Brown or Black they will have no issue taking your money and asking you to move for white people.
The owner states it’s not a big deal to ask brown people to move
Came to pour like i do every Sunday for the dollar mimosas. Me and my party were seated in the turf area upstairs. We had been enjoying our mimosas for about an hour when a party of white women came and asked us if we could move. We said no as we had already been sitting there. A few minutes later a male employee came and tried to ask us to move. I again stated why we had to move when we had already been sitting there and had spent money to be there. He explained that the white women had a reservation. I then explained that there was no signs indicating that and that if it was actually reserved why wouldnt we have been told before we sat in that section. The employee told us that if we don’t move we would have to leave at which point i asked for a manager. A man who claimed he was the owner told us that it would have been rude to tell us before hand that there was a reservation which i then stated why that would be rude? This whole situation would’ve been avoided if we knew it was “reserved” he then said it was not a big deal to ask us to move seats. Is Latino money worthless at this establishment? Why is it a big deal to ask the white women to move but not a big deal for the Latinos to move seats. The “owner” then stated that i was blowing it out of proportion and that they always have reserved seats in the area. I let him know that as a customer to ask me to move seats for someone else is extremely rude and disrespects the...
Read moreCame in Friday around 6 and sat at the downstairs patio by the slide. Our first time. we never leave reviews but had to leave this one. We were delighted to try the place out and came up specifically for happy hour. Special occasion. Weird attitude from the lady from the start, and we are super friendly so it was a bummer but maybe thats just her attitude so whatever. We told the waitress we were picking out a pitcher for hh to split and needed a sec. She came back and we got the ocean water. She brought it back and then told us they has no shark gummies (why we picked that one, would have changed the order had she informed us). We asked her to split the bill, just two items, no big deal but she was annoyed. Then the bill came. Full price on the pitcher that didnt even have what makes it special. I asked, we asked for a happy hour pitcher what happened? She said, this one isn’t and walked away. Had to get our ID from the bar as she never came back. They do apply gratuity so maybe she wanted that extra $4 so that is why she never told us about the pitcher exclusion the menu didn’t mention. Little did she know, with better service and honesty she would have gotten at least another 25% ontop of grat as we usually leave servers. Really bummed us out, not even the mistake just the way she handled it. I doubt we will be back, trying...
Read moreWe went to the upstairs bar. We stood at the bar for about 5 minutes and the bartender never greeted us. We sat at a table and about 10 minutes later the bartender came by. We each ordered a beer. Bartender never checked on us. My friend went up to the bar and ordered another round. The bartender tossed our beers on the table and mumbled ssomething unintelligible. The bartender drank 2 shots in the time we were there. My understanding is that's a big TABC no no. When we got our tab, my tab was $5 or $6 more than my friends, even though our beers were the same price on the menu! We were also charged a 20% gratuity for the "venue fee" That is also not mentioned anywhere on the menu. The bar manager said the price difference may have been due to Happy Hour prices. We explained that we didn't get there until well after 10PM. Obviously, HH was over. Then she said my beer was considered an import, so the price on the menu was wrong. Excuse me, spend a little money and fix your menu! She did reduce my tab by $4 for the error, but my friend and I were both frustrated and angry. Watch your tab. I have never been charged a venue fee, even at high end concert venues. Can't say I'll be...
