Let me start by saying I don't usually post negative reviews. My experience yesterday evening at Bachelor's Pad BBQ started a little shaky as after entering and being instructed to take a seat, i was informed that the service was cafeteria style. This is a personal issue of mine. Therefore, I was quick to look past it, and soon, our family unit of four moved to the bar where service was offered. In a few more moments, we had figured out the menu and placed our orders with the young waitress in training. Three App Taco plates and an app Kona sliders plate. The food arrived with a pleasant presentation. Unfortunately, beyond looking appetizing, the food impressed neither of my in-laws, my wife nor I. The meat was dry and flavorless. It was also cold. To their benefit, the sauces ( 2 sweet and 1 hot ) were the flavor profiles for the meal. Each one was good and provided in bottles with the meal, "so sauce to ones hearts content." Most of the party decided to take their meal home to heat and perhaps enjoy later. While filling out the check and finishing with our service, my mother-in-law posted her review on a Fountain Hills Facebook page. After returning from smoking a cigarette ( still kicking that habit ), we were confronted by Eric (sp??) The Small Business Owner. Eric insisted that we had not given him the opportunity to make it right before posting. Even going as far as to say he would comp our meal if the post was deleted. My mother-in-law had mentioned the problem to our waitress earlier in the service, and the girl came back from speaking with the manager stating they could remake the meal, which we declined due to time constraint. I pointed this out to Eric and mentioned that if he were willing to comp the meal, he should have suggested beforehand instead of forcing a hostile conversation. So far, the only part of our meal that came out of the kitchen hot was Eric The Small Bussiness Owner. Needless to say, Eric was not happy with my answer and proceeded to try and drill down my family. I began to point out that even if she had removed the post, I would still be writing this review and was cut off by Eric's character defining quote: "I'm not your "bro"! I'm Eric, and I'm just a small business owner!" I walked out and will not be back. I would like to point out that my family was harassed all the way out the door of the establishment. Please seek help, Eric of the Small Business, with that...
Read moreI went here because I work around the corner and have been dying to try this place! A couple of Fridays ago I stopped in (they open at noon on Friday and Saturday's!) Get there early before they run out of meat...once it's gone it is...gone and they will close early if sold out! Ribs, ribs, ribs!!!! I chose the dry rub with sauce on the side for true full flavor of the meaty delicious tender ribs...droool...the meat just fell off the bones, beautiful bark, look at those pictures, if that doesn't want to get you there, then there truly is something wrong with you and your taste buds. I couldn't finish them all in one sitting (big eyes small stomach!) Omfg chili house made a must add, perfect texture and consistency. Yes you get a bite of goodness in every single mfn scoop! Pair that with the housemate cornbread. O the moist landing on the taste buds, then dip that in the chili! HEAVEN! If you haven't been there you are truly missing out on the BEST (yesterday I said it!!) BBQ IN FOUNTIAN HILLS HANDS DOWN! Read moreWe have never set foot in the place. We always order Door Dash. The food here is not only fairly priced, but unbelievably good for a small town like Fountain Hills! I am a long time native of Fountain Hills (born in Az.) and lived here for 25 years…had a business here for 10 years many years ago and recognize full well that most businesses DON’T make it more than a few years. I can honestly say that this is without a doubt the VERY BEST dinner restaurant in our small town. One day we need to eat at the restaurant just to meet the ownership. Kudos to you guys….REALLY! I will introduce myself to y’all when we finally come in for dinner OR lunch. If you are native to Fountain Hills, or just passing through, do yourself a favor and give this fine dining establishment an honest try, you won’t believe the authentic BBQ flavor and taste they have...
