Parkview Tap House — Restaurant in Fountain Hills

First time coming here! I asked a waitress if to sit down I need to see a hostess because when you walk in no one greets you and I was not sure if I was in the correct spot (there are two entrance's) I asked her politely and told her I'm not sure how it works because I've never been here before. She replied "obviously you just sit down cant you see?". There is not one sign that says "seat yourself" or anything along those lines. I replied "I'm sorry I didn't know". We (me and my family) then sat down at a table, that happened to not have a number. So we looked around wondering if we had to be seated at a table that had a number. Some guy behind the bar said "those people in the back are giving us dirty looks" and then pointed directly at us. How rude. He was in a blue shirt grey hair with a nice shiny bald spot of right on the top of his head. We were looking around to see the idea with the numbers and if we sat ourself correctly. So weird and so rude. Never plan on coming back here because of both of those interactions. Also important to note I'm not a "Karen" I'm a 23 year old girl. To the owner maybe consider teaching your employees how to be polite and have some sort of respect towards others.

For the food, fries were great and the wings were good. Nothing special, average bar type food...

It was busy, but the waitress that took our order never reappeared after that. It was a Fri fish fry... Someone else delivered the food, we waited a while but again busy and expected. What was awful was the fact that we asked for extra tartar sauce, didn't get it, asked for a soda refill, never appeared. Asked for boxes and our check and after 25 minutes we went to the cashier to check out when we finally got boxes from a passing waitress. When I told the manager/owner? of our experience he said we weren't happy so we should eat elsewhere. I explained that I merely wanted to express my displeasure with our dinner service. He didn't care and asked us again to go elsewhere. Rest assured, we will. A shame really, we've had nothing but good food there, but as suggested, we will eat elsewhere. Side note... I know small businesses are experiencing difficulties with help, I understand how hard it is to be fully staffed. We accounted for that. It was Friday night fish fry, and having worked for a restaurant as a waitress I know fish orders are pumped out pretty quick. 2 hours and 45 minutes for a fish fry even in a poorly staffed restaurant is not acceptable, especially since the tables around us were fed and turned over twice while...

We had been here a few times before, and tonight was an extreme disappointment. The service was subpar, and on top of it, we got there and they said the kitchen was closed, though the website did not state that, so they said they could throw in some chicken tenders for us. When the food got there, it was so chewy and not good. We weren’t going to say anything, but when the check got there and was charging $30 for 2 orders of 3 chicken tenders, we asked for a refund of at least 1 order. The server proceeded to tell us that we “could ask, but that the owner is over there and is drunk so it might not be the best time to ask”. I said I wanted to ask, and when we went to him, he then asked what was wrong with them, and I explained how chewy and overcooked they were for the price of $30 for 2 orders of 3 tenders. He then tore them apart in front me and everyone at the bar exclaiming that there was nothing wrong with them. It was so extremely rude and I will never go back there even though the 3 other times we have been there were fun. Terrible experience. Will never...
