Zab Thai Food Kitchen — Restaurant in Fountain Hills

We finally made it a point to visit Zab last night and are extremely glad that we did!

We were immediately greeted by a friendly employee who took our drink order while we read the menu. The refillable brewed green ice tea is very tasty!

We started with extremely fresh, well..... Fresh Rolls which are rice paper wrap, veggies, cilantro, noodle peanut and plum sauce. We also shared the cucumber chutney which was very tasty. We both agreed that we could make a meal just out of the starters because they were so good.

I ordered the Spicy Basil Chicken at Thai Hot spice level along with brown rice. I have never eaten anything too hot for me,. but decided to start with Thai Hot instead of Dynamite. It was delightfully tasty and plenty hot for people I know love heat. I'll give Dynamite a try next time. It very much reminded me of what I was missing from my time working in Thailand.

My wife ordered Pad Thai with the white rice and she loved every bite of it!

Timing of service was excellent even though there were several other tables, one with six people. We look forward to returning to Zab Thai Kitchen!

Stopped in for lunch with my son and got off to a slow start. We were the only customers there and it took a while for staff to come out of the kitchen and realize we had arrived, but once they did service was speedy and friendly. I had the pad Thai and my son had the green curry. We shared a fresh roll as an appetizer and we both tried the Thai tea. The presentation of everything was very nice. The Fresh roll was fresh and the shrimp was cooked nicely, but the rice paper wrap was a bit too sticky for my taste. The Green Curry had a nice flavor and the spice was present but not overpowering. Great little place, I always have high expectations for Thai food and this held up. Nice atmosphere, great host. We had the veggie rolls for an appetizer which was great. It came with a sweet and spicy type sauce, we both had phad thai, one mild and mine was dynamite (extra thai hot). They both had great flavor and great spice for the dynamite. The only thing I would change would be the noodle option. It came with angel hair type noodles and I prefer the thicker noodle it usually comes with.
