My friends and I, from Minnesota, visited Arizona back in January. Sun Baked was recommended to us by some locals, so we stopped there for Saturday brunch. My boyfriend and I are pretty big foodies, so we are often cooking or trying new restaurants, and let me just say - I wish I could have brought Sun Baked back home with me!

Aesthetically, Sun Baked is quaint and cozy with a friendly, laid-back vibe. The woman who helped us at the counter was very welcoming and the customers around us were really nice and offered us their suggestions. We decided on the chicken and waffles, quiche, grits, eggs benny and about a dozen donuts (we sampled two and came back for more - they were so soft and delicious). Sun Baked was hands-down the best place we ate in Arizona all week! Every single item was outstanding!

While we were finishing up, the owner came out and she was so wonderfully gracious. It's really difficult to find places like Sun Baked. Not just amazing food and wonderful service, but they made us feel so welcome and right at home.

This is another one of those places that I have neglected to review. There is ALWAYS something good to be had here - they're more than 'just' pastries and sweets! Bought a couple of slices of quiche the other day, SO good (it was the meat one, I believe they call it the House). The crust was fantastic, my poor husband didn't get much crust on his piece because I took the liberty of breaking a bit off as I put it plated it. (in my defense, I would have taken that plate but he grabbed it and walked away before I could point it out) Everything is made from scratch and you can totally taste the love that they add!
