Phở Bánh Mì & Chè Cali — Restaurant in Fountain Valley

We got in this restaurant around 6:35 pm on Saturday night the 18th of February. It was about 1/3 full. We sat down and waited for the waiter to come. About 10 minutes later he came to our table and we ordered the food. We had plenty of time to look around and we saw there was only one waiter, a very young man running from one table to the next one, and multiple trips to the counter for other guests request. He also was the only one to bring food to the tables for guests. He was running everything and everywhere in the restaurant. We felt so bad for him. By the time we got our food it was 40 minutes after we ordered, and the food was not very warm. On top of that, the quality of the dishes were not the same as it was last few times we were there. The broth of the soup tasted like the dishwasher water. It was absolutely awful. We were completely falling backwards with disappointment. The Vietnamese beef and chicken noodles soup was excellent, but not today. We are very disappointed. We will never go back to this restaurant again. We will also tell our family members and friends about this experience. We feel very sorry for the staff in this restaurant. They are working very hard to serve customers. 2024 ,YET AN OTHER PRICE INCREASE !!every few months they bump the price.its a very unplesant surprise when food isnt all that.Always under staff VERY POORLY MANAGED.food sit outside for a while its really dirty and not plesant for the people who want to sit outdoor.you will be lucky if u can find a table somewhat clean. they take take out order restaurent order and phone order all at once . The lady is VERY SLOW . Be ready to wait and waste your time . SO UNORGANIZED . FOOD QUALITY WENT WAY DOWNHILL . Used to be good and cheap now it taste plain and so overpriced . The prices were amazing but the service was absolutely terrible. My girlfriend and I sat down and we got our waters and menus and the waiter walked away. Three other couples came in after us. By the time we even got our order taken (which by the way they ran out of ALL the sandwiches at this place, never heard of a restaurant running out of Banh Mi) anyway by now two of the other couples received their food, more people came in by now and here we are still waiting for food while three other tables got their food, a few minutes later my girlfriend gets her food and here we go a few more minutes go by and other tables get their food (time and communication lacked at this place, it was a complete cluster&%%$) so finally after 5 minutes after my girlfriend getting her food I finally get up and ask where mine is thinking maybe he thought I meant cancel my order because they didn't have the sandwiches, finally after about 15 minutes of waiting, and if you go to Pho frequently you know it usually only takes 3-5 minutes tops (IF you are ordering Pho) no matter how packed the place is.
