I recently visited California fish grill and had the most delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The service provided by the staff was truly outstanding!

The staff members at the place are not only friendly but also incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations, making the decision-making process much easier.

Minus 2 stars for limited seating, long wait for take-out and limited side dish choices that are not as tasty as the delicious fish entre's.

This place is a very welcomed addition to the many tired eateries in Fountain Valley. The fish choices are delicious and a lighter fare are the fish tacos. A salsa bar us provided to compliment your plate with numerous garnish choices. The prices are very reasonable and the fish is cooked to your liking with the seasoning of your choice.

Aside from the tasty fish entry's, I must tell you, I'm NOT impressed with your side dish choices. The sides simply are not very good at all....Add a Baked Potato choice. That would definatly make this place so much better.

I've also noticed that portions are larger if you dine-in opposed to take-out. The price is the same but they seem to be less generous when you take your meal home or to the park for a delicious picnic.

The problem with this Fish Grill is that seating is VERY limited. It is quite a small eatery inside (a converted bank). So don't be surprised if there are no tables available at a busy hour.

Another problem that comes along with a freshly prepared meal is that the wait for your meal to go (take out) is a long wait. There really is no place to sit and people-watch comfortably as the seats are table seats for the diners. So plan on standing around MUCH LONGER than you would at a fast food restaurant.

My favorite is the Swai and Salmon combo. The fish taco plate and shrimp taco plate...
