Chicken Maisón — Restaurant in Fountain Valley

Literally just left this place. Place was clean. The name of the guy that took our order (according to the receipt was J- rod, Im wondering if it's the guy joe other reviews were raving about). He wasn't very welcoming, he acted as if he wanted us to hurry up and order. I overlooked that because I really wanted to try the food and was hungry. We sat there as 4 other customers (1 lady and a group of 3) who ordered after us all got their food before us. J-rod kept just looking at us along with the cooks, yet did not attempt to show great customer service by giving us an update on our food. Just decided to talk, stare at me and continue looking into his personal phone as well. We finally got our order and I asked for a container and why we got our food after 4 other customers who ordered after us. He ignored that question and told me, "containers are on the side, take as many as you need" with a smirk on his face. I asked him for an additional dressing, he says 0.75. I told him fine, he then says "oh its actually $1 something but I'll go ahead and give it to you for 0.75" like he was doing me a favor. I told him "I'll pay the price, you're the one who told me 0.75 that was your miscommunication and you still haven't even attempted to tell me why we got our food last" he just continued in a condescending tone, ignored my concern and didnt answer and told me to have a good day. His customer service towards me was condescending and disappointing and I left definitely not wanting to come back to that location. I will say though, a young lady named Cecilia was nice and I do appreciate her service and kindness towards me. The food was also delicious. I like to feel respected and appreciated as a customer so I'll stick to giving the other locations a try next time. Definitely will not come back to this location. I recently visited this restaurant with my toddler. She insisted on pasta so I ordered her a pasta dish and 1/4 chicken for myself. I did not anticipate her loving this chicken as much as she did. After sharing a few bites with her, I realized she only wanted the chicken. This restaurant has amazing food and great customer service. As we enjoyed our meal, Washington (a genuinely great staff member) walked around checking in on every customer dining in. He was seen taking needed items to any table that required them. He checked on us and I told him, I had never seen my daughter eat so much chicken. I told him a 1/4 chicken was no longer enough because she only wanted their chicken- he was happy to hear she was enjoying her meal. After a few minutes he returned with an additional piece of chicken for her. I have never experienced this type of service at any restaurant. This place deserves a huge shout out for their genuine customer service and their generosity! I will 100% be returning with my entire family soon! Keep up the hard and loving service. If you don't like spicy don't get the spicy chicken or the spicy hummus. I did a takeout order from the Huntington Beach location only because I had an appointment in Huntington Beach. By the time I got home and opened the bag and realized they had given me somebody else's order. I called and spoke to a gentleman who was the manager... Rude unprofessional And disrespectful! Had me on hold and a young lady came on the phone the assistant manager, thank God this establishment had the smarts to transfer her from the Santa Anna location to the Huntington Beach location and save their butts with a smart intelligent kind respectful woman who knows how to deescalate issues.
