My fiance and I came in looking for a nice quick breakfast and as we were looking at their (very small) menu the older lady at the counter, I think her name was Kristy was so unpleasant. She told us if we were looking for breakfast she could recomend another place for us. Seemed like a weird thing to say to potential customers. She also told us we couldn't sit outside because they had a private party. That's understandable but she said it so rude and the whole time she seemed like she didnt want us to be there. Then I asked her for a caramel iced latte and she barked back "we dont have caramel" like I'm supposed to already know that but they didnt have any flavors listed in sight. I'd also like to add that my latte straight up just tasted like milk. I've had much better at Starbucks. At that point I was ready to give a 3 star review because i had never felt so unwelcomed to be at a place of business. My fiance said it was a bigger waste of $30 (for 2 bagle sandwhichs and 2 coffees) than the $40 we lost at the casino the other day. I waited to write my review until after trying the food. I had some hope that it would be good because it had avocado, chimichurri, a red pepper jam, and egg but it pretty much tasted like the la Croix of food. Just a ghost of flavor. Overall it was the worst experience I've had at...
Read moreI’ve never left a review but felt inclined to leave one at this place after experiencing what I did the other day. The customer service was absolutely awful. The red, curly haired lady was so awfully rude. I watched her on numerous occasions slam the drinks down, enough to where they spilled out over the cup and leave a mess. An elderly gentleman sweetly asked for creamer multiple times and she ignored him then finally the lady working the register stopped what she was doing and got him his creamer. This was near the time r hey were closing and when new customers were coming in, she would stomp over to the door and slam the door in their faces and lock it, leaving the patrons inside uncomfortable because it meant we had to unlock the door to leave and then that caused customers to start walking in again and then she would walk over and slam the door in their faces. Mind you, not a single word came out of her mouth. A simple, “sorry we are closed” could've went a long way but instead she stood there stone cold and slammed drinks down and doors in customers faces. Seriously the rudest person I’ve ever met, and unfortunately left such a bad taste in my mouth as well as many others. There is no chance I will ever be walking back into that...
Read moreThis coffee shop was a miss for me, unfortunately. While the shop is cute and quite spacious, and there's a delicious-looking selection of baked goods, my latte left little to be desired.
First of all, it was over $6 for an 8 oz latte. Granted, that was with an $0.75 tip, but I try to tip hard working baristas. I'm willing to shell out some hard cash for fantastic coffee, but it better be just that - fantastic. And this was not even close. My latte was extremely bitter, and not in the "bold, earthy, delicious elixir espresso" bitter. More like an overrun shot bitter. That could definitely be a barista error rather than the flavor of beans, but who knows. I also paid an extra $0.50 for some of their homemade vanilla syrup, which I couldn't even taste. Definitely a waste to add on.
The barista was prompt and the baked goods looked great (though we didn't try one) but I wouldn't return for a latte. I'd maybe stop back to try the drip coffee or a breakfast sandwich, as other reviews seem to state that...
