This is the saddest that I have ever felt so write a second negative review on these people. The first time the owner got a hold of us here at the mystic Dunes resort and he took care of our order. This time around we only ordered something simple like a large pizza we asked for it to be well done. By the time that the pizza delivery driver got here not only did they not make it to where we were at where they always come to she was lost somewhere in building 17 until security was asked to get a hold of where it was that we were actually at. So I a member of management went got in a golf cart and went to go pick up this pizza that should have been dropped off in the operations building. So the manager in charge of the shift today evening tells us he's going to go and send us out another pizza well done being as though the first one was soggy. The order was placed at 5:58 it is now 7:58 and we were told a half an hour. I myself along with five other golf carts that are here with workers have been outside waiting for the pizza to arrive and it never got here. So besides being called a liars and that we were being aggressive on the phone or better say me that I was supposedly aggressive on the phone while you're calling me a liar when I have been outside waiting for a large pepperoni pizza that should have been done right the first place. I say can you guys just give her a credit because it's no point in discussing with somebody who is trying to shove down your throat that you are lying he is claiming that supposedly the gentlemen or lady that came out to deliver the pizza was calling a 215 number. I agreed and said yes that is the only number that calls to schedule the pieces for these meetings. I even went as far as asking security if they seen anybody from the pizza flippers come in with a pizza and both security houses told me no. Only the first one where they found the lady on building 17. But it's okay I will be a liar as they called it and I was told I need to respect I only respect when respect is given. From 1 place of employment to the next here's a piece of advice train your staff better to be more professional and polite. Second teach them how to take orders and give the customer what they want and make sure that they understand that it's because of these customers that they have jobs and a business. Tell them to appreciate everybody because the customers even though we already know that they are not always right but in this case we were and that is okay. We refuse to invest and put our money into a company that is comfortably fine calling people liars and being disrespectful especially a company like us that every time we order food from them. Mystic Dunes will no longer except orders from you guys. If the manager or the real owner wants to get a hold of us I'm more than sure that he should still have the lady's number that always orders from him. But it is truly sad that one person's attitude can sit there and get you to lose...
Read moreWe were visiting out of town and looking for somewhere to indulge our pizza craving. Flippers looked closest to our favorite pizza style - Neapolitan. So we decided to take a chance, especially since the reviews looked promising. We were greeted immediately and had the pleasure of acquiring LeeAnn as our server. She was super friendly and kind. She walked us through the menu and recommended a starter for us. We ended up getting the cheese bread at her recommendation and it was fantastic. Flippers boasts fresh hand stretched, cold fermented dough made of quality ingredients (such as unbleached flour and San Marzano (PDO) tomatoes). They did not disappoint in delivering on their promise. The dough was thick and buttery but airy. The mozzarella was stretchy, salty and had snap. The marinara dipping sauce was heavenly acidic that balanced the bread perfectly. Our party each ended up ordering a pizza per person since the pairing combo was too good to pass up. I was excited for this since I usually forgo ordering what I really want when I share a pizza with my partner. (However, LeeAnn did tell us they would more than accommodate us doing a half and half pizza if we wanted!) My little one got a cheese pizza which we put in for at the starter stage. A pepperoni was presented but LeeAnn quickly remedied the mistake much to my hungry child's delight. The food came out after some time, which is to be expected for real fresh made to order pizza. The side salads were vibrant and crisp, with spring greens, a variety of veggies including olives and peppers. Typically I don't like olives but these added a nice briney note to the salad with the house dressing that balanced it all together. The salads didn't feel like an afterthought, but had the same thought and care about ingredients and presentation like the pizzas. The pizzas were divine. Crisp but soft chewy crust. The sauce was a tad sweeter than the dipping sauce from the bread, which complimented the salty smokey meats and earthy vegetables. I was so full but didn't want to stop eating since it was so good. We ended dinner trying to figure out how to get a Flippers up in the Florida Panhandle, closer to home. You won't be disappointed in visiting if you're looking for real fresh food, friendly staff, and full bellies at...
Read moreFirst Visit Impression: Great pizza, terrible staff and service — Called in shortly after the posted opening hours as I had some questions, whoever picked up kept hanging up. My coworkers at a nearby hospitality company told me that I could dine in and said the food and ambiance was great so I was encouraged to visit. When I walk in, around 11:30 am, I am not greeted, nobody to be seen - for a moment I stand to see if someone comes up to have me sit down but after waiting I come to the counter where I am met by a lady with big fake eyelashes and a very unwelcoming attitude. Condiments/sauces are on the counter, I realize they have been open but they are behind on their opening side work. She is hostile throughout the ordering process, hands me my drink and says “20 minutes”.
I have a seat, while I wait I notice tense, hostile treatment to delivery drivers, a guy with a pickup order and someone using the bathroom. My name is called by the cook and I walk to pick up the pie. I ask about ranch dressing and the guy handing me the pizza says “you gotta be rung up first, it’s not free” before he confirms whether they have it or not or provides any valuable info on sauces. Not an issue paying for ranch 😂 - I pay the eyelashes lady whose name is “Margarita R.” per my receipt and walk to a table to enjoy my meal. I realize there are no napkins so I walk back to the counter where, after being given the napkins, I am objected about dining in and told I need to sit down and have them come to the table next time.
As I explain the situation, Margarita who never asked whether this was a pickup or dine in order in the first place, seems to want to confront me exhibiting a disregard for her position and service principles. I was made a witness to their discomfort and dread for being at work as she was showing, in her lacking thereof, the importance of proper staff training, motivation and work ethic. I dodge the bad energy and the firm intent to downright start a verbal altercation. I just peacefully walked to my table and enjoy the delicious pizza. To whoever manages this Flippers, work on staff training and taking care of struggling personnel because this was a horrible first...
