Julie's Noodle — Restaurant in Fremont

This place is tucked in the back of the shopping center, i wouldn't have walked by it nor seen it. The food here was excellent!

my favorite was their Chili Wonton - it was so flavorful and meaty. that spicy sauce was delicious! I have to say that this is probably the best chili wonton I've ever had in San Jose.

we also got the fish boil with noodle dish, while the soup base was amazing, the fish was not our cup of tea. it was interesting in that it was a crunchy type of fish. it was thinly sliced and was super firm. i prefer this dish using basa filet or swai fish, something softer. but the broth was amazing. so rich, perfect amount of mala which numbed my lips. i think next time i would order medium heat instead of mild.

Wonton with chicken broth: Wonton didn’t really taste fresh. The soup tasted kinda like water. Not a lot of flavor.

Noodles with rib (forgot name): Not a lot of meat. They put a lot of noodles to make up for it. Soup was very oily.

Beef stew with noodles: Also not a lot of meat. Soup very oily. On the bottom is all noodles. They put all the garnish and meat on top.

Their lemon water wasn’t also the best. Tasted like it was sitting out for a while and the water tasted like bad tap water.

The place wasn’t very clean. There were stains on the wall next to the table. Atmosphere was just meh. Place looks pretty run down.

Service was okay. The lady was nice. Overall not bad, just wouldn’t come here again....

Had dinner here and the food was so good! Service was very attentive. The staff were so kind when I was confused about the beef texture in my order and they generously gave me another type of beef I was expecting. They helped us graciously without any annoyance, then bagged up our leftovers for us and quickly assisted in closing the tab.

I got the mala beef noodle soup with medium spicy and it was perfect. ~$16 but for me it was a large portion and I had plenty left to take home, leaving satisfied. My friend got ground pork dry noodle and enjoyed it too. Lovely gem and would definitely come back...
