Culver’s — Restaurant in Frenchtown Charter Township

I went to the Ann Arbor location, Ann Arbor, Michigan and I ordered a I should say initially I ordered a deluxe burger, double and then I turned around and said that I want it just mustard and onions on the burger so the young man asked me if I wanted cheese and I repeated myself saying the only thing I want on the burger is onions and mustard so we go back-and-forth a couple of times and again I said the only thing I want on the burger is mustard and onions and the young man replied well I’m not gonna do this with you. I’m gonna get somebody else to help you. I said OK thank you so there was a pause for a few seconds and then a young lady came to the mic and I told her the same thing. The only thing I want on the burger is onions and mustard and her reply was do you want cheese and I said the only thing I want is onions and mustard on the burger and she said oh you want cheese and then I just said I canceled this order and I just drove off what I did not understand about what happened was I said that I wanted onions and mustard. That’s the only thing I said that I wanted on the burger, I did not understand why they kept on saying what you want cheese. I said all I want is mustard and onion. I did not understand why they did not understand that it seem like they were just trying to get you know more money because I kept on saying the same thing. I just want onions and mustard. I want onions and mustard that’s all I kept on saying but they were insisting on asking me if I wanted cheese and once again, like I told him the only thing I want it with onions and mustard so the order was canceled. My first time ever going to Culver's. Everyone I know usually raves about it, but I've heard nothing but negative comments about the new Monroe location. A lot of "it's not as good as the one by my work" type of comments.

We tried it tonight, and I'm sad to say that was the most disgusting burger I think I've ever had. The meat itself was completely burnt. Which luckily you couldn't taste over the never ending amount of butter that's apparently put on these things. I get that the 'butter bun' (or whatever it's called) is their thing but I could not taste anything else. And I added bacon to my burger, which also had a garlic mayo on it. Nothing. May as well have bought a box of patties from the dollar store, burnt them to a crisp, and flattened two sticks of butter on top of them. It would have tasted exactly the same.

Fries were alright but boring. Nothing original here. Just get a bag of Walmart brand fries and put them in an air fryer. At least that way they'll be fresh.

My son took 3 bites of his corn dog and wouldn't finish it. Bit he's 2 so I don't know if he didn't like the taste or, you know, he's just being 2.

We did get a thing of pretzel bites to share and those were pretty good (minus the yellow, see-through liquid that I assume was cheese). Hence the extra star.

In the end, I wanted to try it out of hopes that everyone was just complaining for no reason and maybe it was just problems with being a new restaurant and staff not having their groove yet. I should have listened to everyone and gone somewhere else. Because $40 for 2 combo's and a kids meal that tasted like that should...

First of all, ordered 2 concrete mixers then paid and was told to wait in the number 2 spot. People who came after us received their food before us, then the next people after them as well. So I went inside to physically pick up our mixers. They had our frozen cocoa pre made but then the lady who helped me was nice and made my vanilla extra malt a lil bigger for the wait, which i thought was nice. I proceed to go back to my car where my dad and I start to enjoy our orders. I noticed something small and hard in my mouth but was able to swallow it, thinking it was a clump of malt. Then i take another bite or so and bit down on something hard and flat...i pulled it out and it was a broken piece of plastic! I pull it out of my mouth and look at my dad mortified. Now im thinking i swallowed a piece in the beginning. I went inside and showed the lady, who was very sorry and very nice, i asked for a refund and the manager didnt say anything, cause he was busy, gave me 6 bux for my shake. Meanwhile, i went into the bathroom shoving my finger in my throat trying to move or dis lodge whatever I think is in my throat. Threw up and nothing solid came out. Went home and tried eating a banana to push whatever plastic is in there. No luck, and not sure how to proceed.
