Monroe Pizza Kitchen — Restaurant in Frenchtown Charter Township

I had never been here, but we've heard the pizza was good. Not many places locally have Chicago Style pizza, and when my wife wanted pizza, I chose to skip delivery and try this place.

Ordering online was quick and easy. I hate calling to order, love the online order options. Although there was a little confusion, on timing. One page as I was ordering said it would be 45+ minutes, but after ordered, it said it would be done in about 30. Although I accepted the fact, 45 was closer, it was confusing as a customer on when to get there. I just went for the 30 minute time, expecting to wait for the 45 time frame.

The employees were great, very friendly, we laughed, joked and had nice conversation between customers while I waited, since I was early. Can't ask for more out of them!

Pizza: Don't let the location fool you. Some may be discouraged to try it since it is located in a gas station, thinking they're frozen pizzas just heated and served. This isn't the case, it's really quite good. We talked for days about how good it was. We'll certainly go back.

While the experience overall was good, there were 2 issues. 1, of course the confusion with time. Some may find waiting unacceptable since it told them 30, waiting 15 or so may not go over well. For me, I knew I'd most likely have to wait. The employees made it fun. 2, the pizza wasn't fully cooked. Although this may be because of the order. I ordered extra cheese, lots of toppings. The pizza was obviously cooked, but the center had some dough that wasn't inside. With the thickness I wasn't surprised. Given that, we pulled it out, and ate the rest, which was hot, fully cooked. If it had been, this would have been 5 stars, hands down!

We were all happy with it overall. We'll definitely order again sometime. If you're in Monroe, want Chicago Style pizza, give it a try. Keep in mind, they don't deliver, and they don't have long hours. They're not open really late. If you try it, you may be...

Will not order from them again. Our dasher called us while she was waiting and let us know the yummy bread looked “off” also that they were extremely rude and yelling at all the customers and even just walked away and was screaming in the back. The bread is like cardboard. They put pepperoni on the cheese pizza, the bacon cheese fries are ridiculous for $8.50 it’s the size of a McDonald medium with barely any cheese or bacon and honestly the worst jalapeño poppers I’ve ever had( didn’t even know you could mess those up) spent $100 and no one wants to eat it. They use to be great but I’ve noticed lately the quality is getting worse but this was horrible. You know it’s bad when your dasher calls you to let you know...

I want to start by saying I've had great food in the past from here but tonight was terrible. Ordered a Big MPK special for carryout. When I went it to pick up my order they charged me for someone else's order and sent us out with way too much food. Seen that it was wrong before we left so we brought it back inside to the right customer. They gave us a refund for the difference and had us wait a few minutes for our order. Walked back out and took a look to see they forgot a pizza altogether. They forgot to make the 2nd pizza and said it would be another 20 minutes to wait or another refund.
