12/27/2018 4pm 5666 N Blackstone Ave, Fresno, CA 93710, went thru the drive thru that only had a few cars to grab a quick dinner for my family. They told me to wait in the reserved drive thru spot. Worker came out with my bag, told me what was in it and thanked me. Great I thought. Get home and come to find out the bag did not include the 2 Big Macs I ordered. So we give my mother in law her chicken sandwich and threw everything else back in the bag. Jumped in the car and drove back, food now 20 minutes old. We go in and ask for the manager. I said we are missing the 2 Big Macs, I would like the entire order replaced besides the chicken sandwich. Manager says "so you want the 2 Big Macs?" No I replied, I would like the entire order replaced except for the chicken sandwich. She tried to grab the bag away from me and I said, No I would like the bag to stay here until you have the replacement order finished. She grabbed it anyway and put it on the back counter and said "If this will make you happy I will put it here:". Mind you I have not heard a single "sorry for the inconvenience" yet and never did. So she puts in the order visibly upset because somehow it seems like it is my fault I did not get my Big Macs. She leaves to the back and yells to her workers in a foreign language. This made me uncomfortable because of how upset she was and I have no idea what she instructed them to do. Almost 10 minutes pass, still no food so we decide that we have had enough and ask for a refund. So the manager comes back and first words out of her mouth is " I am going to refund you to the card you paid with because you paid with a card" ummm ok that is a no brainer. So then the worker I just told that I want my money back to now has the bag with the food trying to give it to us like I just did not say I didn't want it and I want a refund. They said it took so long because I wanted everything fresh. I never stated that, I just wanted the food replaced. So the manager starts processing the refund, and I tell her "just food for thought, after dealing with an unsatisfied customer it is probably best to not go back to your workers and start speaking in another language, it made me feel uncomfortable especially when dealing in food". She got really defensive at this point and pointed out all her "gold star" Asian workers. I said "I dont care what they are, I am Asian as well" (which I am) She looked at me and said "you are really racist" , I am thinking WTH? Maybe I do not look like a "typical" Asian? Is she using the age old "all black people look alike" so "all asian people should look alike?" So not only did I not get my food, I was called a racist and made to feel it was my fault her workers forgot my Big Macs. Read moreI went to this location on a Friday night. It wasn't busy and per usual I went to the kiosk to place my order. I have the app so it gives me deals/discounts which come in handy. However when I was trying to redeem a "free large fry with any size drink" deal it wouldn't complete the process. I tried this several times before asking a employee if they could help me. The employee stated I could just place my order at the cash register. However when I went to use this deal at the register, the app told me I had to wait as it hadn't cleared the deal from the kiosk. The employee told me it wasn't a problem and rung me up for the deal and the rest of my order. Even gave me two large drinks instead of the small ones that come with the $5 meal deal which made my initial frustration turn into one of being thankful. This female employee (I believe she was a shift manager or crew leader), was kind, courteous, and professional. So even though I had a problem at first it turned into a good and pleasant experience/trip to this McDonald's. Goes to show how attitude and customer service can...
Read moreThe drive-thru had 12 cars waiting so I decided to walk in no one at the counter... As usual for McDonald's.... Let me give a shout out to Chad!!! Not only was he expediting all the food for the drive-thru but he had the time to come over and actually take my order face to face!!! McDonald's if you don't understand what a great employee Chad is .. you're a fool.... This young man was running a hundred miles an hour... Doing everything from drive-thru ordering to handling to the front expediting and ensuring orders were correct!!!!!! CHAD I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR NOT LETTING ME STAND THERE AT THE REGISTER LIKE EVERY OTHER MCDONALD'S!!!!!!!! YOU ARE AN AMAZING EMPLOYEE AND A SUPER POLITE YOUNG MAN!!! Being an ex district manager for McDonald's. Thank you for your prompt polite service which is more than I can say for any McDonald's in Fresno with the exception of Herndon Clovis and Herndon and Ingram.....
