I can see now why they have one star reviews. The young man in glasses is definitely rude. I've been in customer service and restaurant for years and can tell they are not experienced when working with the public. Maybe there's a difference because California has a whole Vietnamese culture but when asked for a regular Banh mi thit, the kid scoffed and asked, "which one?" Selling me two sandwiches instead of the three I initially asked for (hence the second ticket). The service is definitely slow. I've never seen a Banh mi place so slow at making sandwiches. They need more training. The taste is okay. It's not as savory as the ones I've had back home. But this is the best I've had here in Texas, so far. I do enjoy the thin baguette but it can be hard. And the avocado smoothy is subtly sweet which I prefer. All in all, I am patient enough to wait for sandwiches and the taste is alright but get rid of the young man or change his attitude, because so far, he's not making it worth the trip to eat mediocre Banh mi.

Love their banh mi (bread), though wish the breads were a bit warm. I did not like their service. They never seemed you give you the extra jalapeños whenever I asked. Few days ago, I stopped by to grapped a bit and ordered Banh mi and asked for extra jalapeños and when they gave me my order I checked with them to see if there were extra jalapeños and the lady said yes. When I went went and started eating I realized there wasn't extra jalapeños that I asked for it. I went back a few day later and also asked for extra jalapeños and this time I asked to put the extra jalapeños on a side bag (mentioned in the receipt attached). Again, when I got home to try to put the exta jalapeños on the bread and noticed there were no jalapeños on my bread. This place somehow is so cheap with giving extra jalapeños. If i have to pay extra for extra jalapeños, I am fine with that but don't say yes to me and not giving me the extra jalapeños. Shame on them. Will likely not come to this store again.

For the longest time, nothing could hold a candle to the banh mi’s I grew up on from Ba Le in Arlington. Fast forward 20 years and enter Mr. Banh Mi. This spot has usurped the throne as THE place for Banh Mi’s in our household. The sandwiches are of course made to order and are the perfect balance between warm and toasty bun & juicy, tender meaty goodness. We’ve perused all the various options and they’re legitimately all a hit across the board. You really can’t go wrong with this place and we can’t rave enough about this place. Thank you Mr. Banh Mi for bringing the A game to the North Texas area! Pro Tip: ALWAYS add an egg.

We ordered an assortment of banh mi for lunch. We had them delivered.

Two of the people eating the sandwiches had never had a banh mi before. I instructed them to order as-is with no modifications.

We ordered: Grilled chicken Grilled pork Grilled sate pork belly Stirred beef sate

Everyone was thrilled with their meal.

I personally got the pork belly and was a bit underwhelmed by that protein choice. The meat didn't look like the picture and was kind of bland. But everything else about the sandwich was so fresh and delicious that I can overlook it. The rolls were terrific. The roll is probably the most important piece of a good banh mi and these did not disappoint.

I tried a piece of the grilled pork from my mom's banh mi and it was so flavorful and delicious. I would definitely recommend going that route instead if you want pork.

My son and my step dad were thrilled with their beef and chicken banh mi, respectively. Every person finished the meal with a clean plate. My mom and step dad ended up removing their jalapeno, but I wanted them to try the sandwich as-is before making changes to the flavor/texture profile.

3 of us had a fried egg added. They don't serve them with a runny yolk, so be aware if that's what you're used to from other banh mi shops. I'm in from out of town and my son and I were expecting a runny yolk. It's not a knock on Mr. Banh Mi at all, I've seen them served both ways depending on where I'm at.

We were incredibly happy with the quality and quantity of food received for the money. Highly recommend stopping in here or ordering delivery if you're looking for a good banh mi...
