So I felt compelled to share a negative experience turned around for me. A 3rd party delivery service canceled my order after they picked it up I’m pretty much assuming they just like what they saw and decided after waiting an hour I just didn’t need my dinner. So I called Zalat hoping to get some information on what coulda happened even though it’s a third party company and likely has zero to do with Zalat actually. The manager apologized, again not his fault, remade my order and had it ready literally exactly when he said he was. When I picked up my pie they took great care of me knowing I had been waiting two hours to eat by that point. Definitely amazing food but just the way I honestly felt like the manager cared about the situation is so rare these days. I’m not saying to go expect hoops to be jumped through when you order your pizza but this place will always show love. Always take care of and tip your restaurant staff please it’s been tough working in the service industry through the pandemic...
Read moreBeware their “buy one get one” - though it does make the price per pizza reasonable, it limits your recourse in the event that they forget to actually bake one of the pizzas. Despite the fact that they had plenty of time, they chose to dramatically undercook one of our pizzas, making it completely inedible. With the crappy pizza being the “free” one from the BOGO, there’s nothing for Uber to refund.
We basically just paid $30 for a single 14” super thin crust pepperoni pizza; 25-50% more expensive than top pizzerias like Lou Malnati’s, for pizza that’s just one step up from Dominoes and Papa John’s.
There is nothing in the “Inspected By” square on the box, it wasn’t “Personally SIGNED” like the box boldly claims, and there aren’t any notes under the lid like you’d expect from a Zalat. Personally, I wouldn’t put my name on the box these crappy pizzas came in, either.
Needless to say, we’ll eat elsewhere from...
Read moreThe app MAKES you tip eventhough you drive and pickup yourself. There are no lights on in front part of the store, they looked closed. The front sign lit, the back where cooking food lit, but where the workers give you your orders it is not lit. Creepy looking. But very friendly, so I'm thinking I will overlook the lighting issues, could be a one off situation, but upon exiting I see their delivery driver parked in handicapped with flashers on, talking on phone about how lazy he is..there were other spaces open just 2 over from where he was.this is HUGE PET PEEVE bc have handicapped friends and family..there is no "grace period" in driver's manual etc...this seems to be a regular thing for drivers..so I probably won't be back...too bad bc pho pizza was good. Hey, I'm still holding a grudge against Exxon for Valdez..bc I have seen the mess still up there that they didn't have to clean up the...
