I had the pleasure of dining at Gallo Nero in Frisco, TX, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and classy â the perfect blend of modern elegance and traditional Italian charm. The atmosphere sets the tone for an exceptional meal, with beautiful decor that feels both upscale and comfortable.
The service was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and personable, offering great recommendations from the menu. They made sure we were well taken care of without being intrusive, which added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
The food was absolutely fantastic! We started with the calamari, and it was perfectly prepared â crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a zesty marinara dipping sauce that had just the right amount of kick. It was a delightful start to the meal.
For the main course, I had the fettuccine alfredo, and it was simply divine. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the creamy Alfredo sauce was rich, velvety, and not too heavy. The balance of flavors was spot on, and the dish had just the right amount of parmesan and garlic to elevate the experience.
The wine selection was also fantastic. Our server helped us pick a bottle of Italian red that paired beautifully with our dishes. The wine list at Gallo Nero offers a diverse range of choices, and theyâre clearly passionate about their selection.
Dessert was the perfect ending to our meal. We indulged in the tiramisu, and it was one of the best Iâve had â perfectly layered, creamy, and rich, without being too sweet. A true Italian classic!
What really sets Gallo Nero apart is not only the food but the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance of fine dining with a cozy, neighborhood feel, making it ideal for any occasion, from date nights to family dinners.
If you're in Frisco and craving an authentic Italian meal, Gallo Nero is an absolute must-visit. I canât wait to return and try more of their incredible offerings....
Read moreFifteen years ago, I had what I thought was the pinnacle of Italian dining in the charming town of Bariloche, Argentina. The flavors were unforgettable, and for years I would reminisce about those meals, convinced that no Italian restaurant could ever surpass it. That was until I stepped into Gallo Nero in Frisco.
From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. The atmosphere is inviting yet elegant, perfectly setting the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. But itâs the food that truly left me speechless.
Every dish at Gallo Nero is a celebration of authentic Italian cuisine. The pasta? Perfection. Freshly made, with a texture so divine it melts in your mouth. The sauces? Bursting with flavor and clearly crafted with love and the finest ingredients.
The service at Gallo Nero is impeccable, with a staff that makes you feel like family while maintaining a level of professionalism that enhances the experience.
To the team at Gallo Nero: thank you for raising the bar and redefining Italian cuisine for us. We didnât think it was possible, but youâve replaced our long-held favorite from Bariloche. This is now the best Italian restaurant of my life.
For anyone who hasnât yet visited Gallo Nero in Friscoâdonât wait. This is more than a meal; itâs an unforgettable journey to Italy. Bravo, Gallo...
Read moreGeneral: Food was just OK. Portions were just OK. Service was just OK. Not much âatmosphere â. Very loud. Difficult to have a conversation. It was a cold night and every time the front door opened a burst of cold air came inside. We had to leave our coats on to stay warm. Specifics: We arrived at 5pm. It was happy hour. Two of us ordered glasses of red wine at $4.00 a glass. You get what you pay for. One wanted a glass of Chardonnay. We were sold a $38 bottle for 1/2 price. The chard was just OK. We wanted a pizza appetizer but the server told us it would take 20-30 minutes - longer than it would take to get our entrees. So we didnât order the pizza. We asked for an order of garlic bread - never received it. The entrees came out fast. Two of us ate half our meals and packed up the rest to take home. I ordered veal parmigiana served over spaghetti. The spaghetti was over cooked and the marinara sauce was cold. The veal was tough and served at room temperature. The manager came over to say hi and proceeded to share with us how difficult it was to get good help. Our server brought us our checks without asking if we wanted dessert - so of course we didnât order dessert-and we would have. Final thoughts - there are a lot of dining options in and around Frisco. Thereâs no reason to settle for one...
