HAVE YOUR EVENT AT VIBRISSA IN FRONT ROYAL -- YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
My husband and I planned a small, casual wedding with just our immediate families in Front Royal in March 2024. We had never been to Front Royal before, but it seemed like a nice little town to host a small wedding, so we planned to get married at the Town Square Gazebo and then come to dinner with our small group (15 guests) at Vibrissa afterward. I worked closely with Savannah throughout the planning, and she was super helpful in explaining how things would work for our group. She also sent a photo of the room ahead of time since we wouldn't be seeing it before the event.
The day of our wedding turned out to be incredibly windy, and just hours before the ceremony we were faced with a predicament. The Gazebo seemed too exposed to the high wind gusts and we didn't want our group to be uncomfortable, so we went to Vibrissa to chat about our options over a beer. We decided that we would ask Vibrissa if it would be possible to host the short ceremony in the same space that we planned to have dinner.
After asking the bartender to speak with the manager, we met Zachary. When we introduced ourselves he was thrilled and said that they had actually been discussing us at their meeting that morning and were thinking of contacting us to see if we wanted to move the ceremony to Vibrissa since the winds were so high!!! I couldn't believe that they had taken us into consideration like that. He explained that we could have the ceremony on their back patio, which was somewhat more sheltered, and by the time we returned a few hours later they had it all set up with chairs for our guests. It was so windy that the chairs kept blowing over, but the Vibrissa staff kept an eye on it and righted the chairs more than once for us!
The ceremony on the back patio was lovely--just the right size for our group of 15 to watch us exchange our vows. Then, we went inside to dinner and the service got even better! All of the Vibrissa staff members were super patient, attentive, and friendly all the way until the end of the night. Taking menu orders for 15 people is no small feat, and I was impressed with how organized and efficient they were. We even had three kids among us (ages 3-10) and the Vibrissa staff members were really patient with them.
The food was also AMAZING. I loved that we could allow our guests to order anything they wanted, and everyone said their dishes were phenomenal. I was pregnant at the time so I didn't get to try their beer, but everyone said it was great. Joe even delivered delicious mocktails to me throughout the night since he knew I couldn't drink alcohol!
Overall, my husband and I were blown away by the excellent service at Vibrissa. Their consideration of our needs, unparalleled customer service, and excellent food and drinks make it the perfect place to...
Read moreThis place has a potential but is complete a hit or miss. My friends and I have stopped there twice last weekend after hiking the Shenandoah park, the first evening we were very impressed. The place was crowded but not overwhelming, service was fairly quick and attentive, the atmosphere and music were great. Interior was clean and modern; and the restaurant had a solid selection of beer, wine and cocktails. We ordered white chicken chili, which was hearty, delicious and served in a large enough bowl to be a meal; beer pretzel - yummy but the side dip was a little blend, catch of the day - rockfish with roasted potatoes and asparagus - tasty and cooked to perfection; and their carrot top basil pesto pasta, which could be more flavorful, but it was fresh and filling. The waitress recommended a glass of surprisingly good Malbec to go with my meal. We were so impressed with the place that we decided to come back for lunch the next day, and we were very much disappointed. One friend, ordered the chili, again, and sweet potato fries to start with, I ordered black bean burger and another friend got fiesta chicken with a side of cauliflower. After a way too long of a wait (the restaurant was almost empty) the bowl of chili came (instead of fries, as requested), after another long wait the rest of our order arrived; chicken and cauliflower were hot and delicious, the bean burger was cold!! So the taste didn’t even matter; and the bun wasn’t brioche, as advertised, but a regular roll; the fries were also cold and as were eating them, we have noticed a big black piece of hair on the bottom of the bowl - gross! We complained and the waiter took the fries off the bill but the experience was ruined. Two and...
Read moreVibrissa Brewery and Kitchen was a fantastic find in Front Royal. Located on Main Street in Front Royal's charming historic district, this gem is housed in a smartly renovated commercial building that retains its historical character. The interior blends rustic aesthetics with modern comfort, offering ample seating both indoors and out, alongside convenient parking.
The visionaries behind Vibrissa Brewery not only crafted exceptional brews but also played a pivotal role in revitalizing the local shops and cafes—but that's another story.
From the first sip of their IPA and lager, we knew we had stumbled upon something fantastic. We later learned that their lager earned a prestigious silver medal in a national competition and their IPA won bronze in a state contest: Vibrissa Brewery is in a different league.
The menu included an eclectic variety of items, prompting us to plan a return. We were on our way to Bid Meadows Lodge for diner and will return to Vibrissa another day for lunch or dinner. The commitment of Vibrissa and its creator, Kerry, to both rejuvenate the historic area and to protect and promote Shenandoah National Park, the AT, kayaking, etc resonated with us—it’s clear we were among kindred spirits.
Vibrissa Brewery and Kitchen isn't just a place to enjoy superb beer and food; it's a cornerstone of its community, blending history with innovation and a passion for both craft brewing and environmental stewardship. A must-visit for beer, food and outdoor...
