Since I am unable to get a response back via email from the owner & I canât directly reply to her response to me under the review I left under â Raziya Thomas â , here is my update response regarding our Cavachon puppy.
I do believe that we have had multiple conversations over the phone and over text about the discrepancies between what your vet tech said regarding cashmereâs health & the vet tech at Forever Vets who informed us of his upper respiratory infection & his possibility of having Hook and Roundworms. Forever Vetâs is who we were recommended to go and see by your staff. Your staff / Vet Tech said themself to my wife that he appeared to have kennel cough which is where the recommendation came to have him checked out at forever vets. I have also provided you multiple documentations from the vet, offered phone numbers and Even offered to have the vet who looked at him from forever vets call you directly regarding his health. This situation could have easily been resolved when we initially began bringing up the multiple concerns with Cashmereâs health and instead it seems as if we are getting the run around without any resolution ..
As far as the $200 discount, that was given to us at the time of purchase and was offered as an active military discount at the time of purchase, prior to us noticing his health was not where it needed to be. That Discount didnât have anything to do with the original request we asked for, which was assistance with his vet bills to get his health back on track. A bill that was well over $1000, that we should not have to pay out of pocket according to puppy lemon law. I will attach a copy of the receipt as well. What I was told by you personally, was that you would offer us a $150 refund compensation â as a courtesy â ( which we also did not receive ) for the antibiotics that we had to unfortunately pay out of pocket for at forever vets, an antibiotic that was never even offered by your vet for cashmere regardless of them noticing his kennel cough. I still have not heard anything about compensation for the testing that he STILL needs to get done regarding the high possibility of the worms. It is going on well past 2 weeks since his diagnosis with forever vets & I would hate to have to pursue action with the civil court, but if that is what needs to be done then it will be. This situation in itself is extremely stressful & unfortunate. We should not have to go through such loop holes to come to a common ground on something that should not have been an issue to begin with since we were promised & guaranteed a healthy puppy who has documentations that clearly say otherwise.
As per our last conversation, I did reach out to the doctor and nurse who treated cashmere at forever vetâs as well and inquire with them on the accuracy of using Antech for testing and they did guarantee that Antech is a great lab company to work with, HOWEVER they did say that there is no way to get an accurate result with just one fecal test which is what you guys did. They again did inform that inorder to get an accurate result from fecal testing, you would need to do a minimum of 3 tests because hook worms and round worms shed at different times during different times the puppy may deficate. As of Sunday I have been informed by them to watch his poop & see if there are any signs of the worms & if so, he will need to be brought in and given additional medication, which I have provided you documentation with as well.
My review has been an accurate representation of my experience from the moment we fell in love with Cashmere to the moment weâve had to deal with all of these unexpected occurrences without ANY resolution besides conversation.
So again, if there is any way we can come to a resolution, we would be more than happy to sit down with you in person regarding this matter & come to a written agreement that we can all be okay with...
Read moreThis store should be shut down. My friend and I bought a husky puppy here back in June. I was too heartbroken to share the full story at first, but now I feel like I have to speak up. We had to wait a few weeks to take her home. I visited her every day during that waiting time and brought her a toy we bought for her to play with when we werenât there. She was the sweetest, smartest puppy Iâve ever had the pleasure to be around. The day came and we finally took her home. She took to her new environment well and seemed happy, if a bit off of her food. I had noticed the staff seemed strange about us taking her home, but didnât think much of it. We noticed that her two siblings were gone about a week before we got her and assumed they had been moved or adopted out earlier than her for some reason. The staff told us repeatedly that if she didnât show much interest in her food and seemed a little sick at first that it was perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned about. They were so insistent on this fact that it raised a red flag, which I unfortunately dismissed once we got her home and she started racing around the living room.
Three days later, and she still isntât earing Right. We thought she was doing better, until we realized that our roommateâs dog had gotten into her food instead of her. I bought her four other kinds of food and tried to tempt her with it. She wouldnât eat more than a bite of anything. I took her to bed with me that night, resolved to take her to the vet first thing in the morning if she still wouldnât eat. I woke up to her whimpering,, and then retching off the side of the bed. She was throwing up the little bit she had eaten as well as all the water she had consumed before going to bed with me. I rushed her to an emergency vet, where I was told my little baby had Parvovirus. I got her treated there and then took her to another vet the next day. I called the pet store and they told me to bring her back, and that they would void the contract, treat her themselves, and offer her back to us once she has recovered. I mentioned this to the vet assistant who looked very alarmed and confirmed where I had gotten her from. This pet store alone had had over 55 deaths from just Parvo in the past few months. She told me that she had spoken to a lady who worked for the vet that handled their sick puppies, and that they basically gave up on them once they had Parvo because it was expensive to treat. She said no one in those months who had turned their fur babies back in had seen them again. We loved our baby. So we took treatment into our own hands. We worked with our own vet in Jax and the nights she was home I stayed up with her all night. I slept in 1-2 hour increments and worked with her in between to get food and water into her system via a feeding syringe. After almost a full week of this battle, my baby died. She died in my arms while I cried. This place is terrible and should not be allowed to operate. When we informed the staff she had passed, they told us they had alerted the families of the dogs that had come into contact with her in the store. However, we saw a puppy leave that day who had been exposed to her the day we picked her up. They donât care about the dogs or the customers, only profit, and that is what makes shopping in this case dangerous and potentially heart-breaking. Please, find a reputable breeder, or adopt, or at least...
Read moreMY DOG DIED!!!! â ď¸âźď¸If you havenât already done so take your puppy immediately to the vet to get them tested for parvo and all other âcommon pet storeâ diseases. (They say the dogs get all their shots but they donât. They personally know the vet that signs off the papers. So really nothing is truly legitimate.) ALSO, if you have a sick pup from here know your rights! You are entitled to a refund AND money for medical expenses by FL law. This is my story⌠Although hesitant to purchase from this place due to the small cages, hamster water bottles for dogs, and diarrhea smell, I had purchased the cutest boy Bernese Mountain Dog from here. Initially it looked like something was wrong with his eye and the employees told us he needed to be seen by the vet. After multiple trips to see if he was still there we kept being told he needed to be seen by the vet. At this point it was over a week this dog had not been seen by a vet. Go figure. We ended up negotiating with the owner that WE would take him to the vet for his eye if she let us purchase him. We wrote an agreement saying we knew something was wrong with his eye and signed. We took our puppy home that day and he was happy to be out of there. He seemed fine that day besides the diarrhea he kept having. (I also saw him have diarrhea at the pet store so I thought it was the cheap food they give them) We switched his food to something better and took him to the vet where they diagnosed his eye issue. The next day our puppy was getting lethargic and sleeping more than usual. He constantly kept getting up to pee. Then not even 24hrs after that we noticed he definitely was sick. I picked him up and I could feel his heart rapidly pounding through his chest. We took him to the vet emergency and he was diagnosed with PARVO the most DEADLY dog virus. First symptom is diarrhea and lethargy. GO FIGURE! Parvo is a virus that usually needs immediate medical treatment. We ended up admitting him into the emergency since his condition was so poor. Long story short our bill costed us over $10,000. We tried everything to keep him alive. He was in the vet hospital for a week with no improvements. We informed the owner of the pet store once we found out and she offered us a refund and a discount on a new puppy. Like seriously lady?! How disturbing do you have to be. We looked into the Florida law and informed her of what she WILL be paying us. Throughout this entire process Iâve met a handful of people that KNOW of this owner and what shady stuff goes down at this establishment. We ended up taking our puppy home from the hospital after a long battle where he passed away in my arms. Even after all the heartache, Iâm glad our fur baby ended his life with a family â¤ď¸ Please take my story as a warning. RIP...
