Swirl Suites — Restaurant in Fruit Cove

I walked in here with my husband and daughter hoping to grab some ice cream but after waiting almost 30 minutes I just decided it was best we leave and grab ice cream from McDonald’s because we’d get better service. The employees here just need to be trained in basic customer service skills but the problem is stores hire anybody and show them how to do a job but they lack the skills to service the customer and that’s where this place falls short. We didn’t care that she was by herself. When we walked in the girl working finished two orders and then for some reason the couple in front of us ended up taking a long time too. What annoys me is that when you have people waiting, you should be acknowledging that they are waiting and that you’ll be with them shortly. She was almost done helping the couple in front of us but then randomly asked me if I decided what I wanted and then said okay and continued what I guess was finishing the other ice cream or shake order. She went to the back and then came out and still nothing after a few minutes so I left. I worked retail for many years while in college and understood the golden rules to customer service. The owner of this place should not have just one employee working on the weekends especially being connected to a busy mall and secondly, teach your employees how to handle it when it’s busy. I visited recently with my son the atmosphere was great and very beautiful, we almost turned away as one set of the doors were locked until my son tried the other side. When we walked in it was so bright and smelled so amazing. We both ordered the Cookie Monster , his was in scoop form mine was done as Rolled Ice cream. They did not look or taste like the same kind of ice cream at all . My sons ice cream was bright blue (main reason we wanted it) and full of cookie dough and the rolled ice cream I received was basically light light greenish/blue hardly any cookie pieces it just wasn’t what I expected. I will be going back to try and see if it was just a bad day for the young lady that helped me and see if I can get what I imagined...

We stopped by after lunch yesterday or a sweet treat here and chose the ice cream nachos. For the life of me I cannot remember the full name of the ice cream flavor but it was long and bleeped the "S" word on it. It had caramel, chocolate, sea salt, and a few other things in it and was so good! We had some walnuts and Oreos topped on it with a little raspberry sauce. It comes with some waffle cone round chips which were a lovely crunch. We didn't quite finish because we're trying to limit that stuff but I easily could have.
