The coffee & food here are great! My issue is more with the customer service, or lack thereof, from the new owner (of all people). I use to visit this coffee shop often when it was under the previous owner, Becky. She did an incredible job, was always kind, helpful, had amazing staff and made customers feel appreciated. Morning Mission has a great service where they deliver our order. My co-workers & I love using this service to get our caffeine fix and breakfast. In the past, we have had no issue paying separately & with our debit cards as well as cash. The past two times we have done this, there have been issues. The first on 1/12/18 when we ordered $35 worth of food & coffee. We placed our order via text for delivery. Once it got here, we realized we were missing a breakfast sandwich. I let the owner know we were missing one and she argues with me. I pulled up the text exchange and showed her we indeed had ordered 3 sandwiches and only got 2. She looked annoyed as said "well I don't know who I have to run it back out here." Given her attitude, I said never mind. Shortly after she left, my co-workers mentioned they noticed her attitude as well, which was completely unwarranted as it was their mistake. I texted her back and said I would like my sandwich, as I had nothing else to eat. We exchanged a few texts back and forth (this was at 10:40 am) where she made it apparent this was a hassle to her. At almost 1:30 pm she finally got back to me & said she could now bring me the sandwich âif I wantedâ. I told her no thank you & that by then I had already had lunch. She did say âsorry, your next coffee is on meâ, which I appreciated. Today 2/9/18 we placed another large office order via text. I asked if I could use my freebie and her response was âYou will have to use it in the shop. Sorry!â Which makes no sense. A freebie de to their mistake should be able to be used anytime. So, I canceled my coffee order and she responded with âItâs fine already made it Iâll do it this time but just a heads up for next time we donât do that.â I shared this exchange with my co-workers who were equally as appalled by the poor customer service. We all work in customer service and could not believe the attitude and passive aggression (in person & via text exchange - which I have kept). When she showed up, she (again) made it very clear what an inconvenience it was that we had cards and didnât have exact change. After she left, we agreed the attitude wasnât worth getting coffee & food delivered. We will just have to find another local coffee shop to give our business to, even if we have to make the drive ourselves. It is truly unfortunate because we love supporting local businesses and their products are so great! We miss the old management and excellent...
Read moreDuring my month and a half stay for work, Morning Mission Coffee became more than just a caffeine fixâit was a highlight of my mornings. Even after moving farther away, I made the extra drive because their drinks are that good. The chai latte has this rich, creamy sweetness that feels like a cozy treat, and their custom Red Bull blendsâespecially with lime, blue raspberry, and watermelonâare seriously next level. What really stands out is how welcoming and attentive the staff are; they always have great suggestions and remember exactly what you like. Itâs rare to find a spot that feels this personal and inviting. Leaving town is bittersweet because Iâll really...
Read moreI was so excited to find a locally owned drive thru coffee place! We recently relocated to the GJ area from Portland, OR as my fiance helps a friend of his set up & start his business. It's been so difficult to find a good drive thru coffee place --I have a 4 year old I don't want to have to get her out of the car, I don't want coffee from a fast food place & I avoid Starbucks like the plague! This place is great! Lines are never more than a car when I go here, the staff is super friendly, the drinks are always delicious! I'll drive the ten minutes from GJ to go here, it's...
