Rib City Grill - Fruita — Restaurant in Fruita

Management and staff really need some work. I am a truck driver that chose this location to celebrate my birthday being 1000 miles from home. Had a hour to spare before I risked making it home for Christmas. I was seated. Waitress after awhile brought a drink. I tried to order but she spun around. I proceeded to sit the next 15 minutes watching her talk with a table full of other guests. 2 other staff members talked at the front counter this entire time. When it was finally time to care for other guests the waitress tried to change what I asked for saying more cost needed to be added. Have eaten here a number of times for lunch and never had this problem. When I told her to forget it I would get fast food elsewhere then she was making offers to keep me happy. Problem is I no longer had time to have food preped and to eat it before I risked making it home for Christmas like I said. On my way out I stopped at front desk asking who was manager. Was informed nick was but nick had not been seen the near 30 minutes I had been in the restaurant. So many emotions over the poor treatment I and others received by being ignored. Sad thing is the load on my truck that was my time restraint has product that will be at this restaurant. Thank you Nick and your staff for the wonderful...

We all know the drill on vacation. Try to find great local food, end up eating at the same places from home, and leave unsatisfied. NOT HERE. I found this gem unexpectedly while stopping for gas headed back home from a road trip. It is amazing! I ordered the beef brisket sandwich, and my daughter ordered the baby back. The meals come with a couple of sides depending on what you order. The place is large enough to have a group dinner. The staff that I came into contact with were very helpful and courteous. They accept walk-in take out orders, which allowed me to order my food, run to get pizza for my son (he regrets not getting the brisket), return in 10 minutes, and pick up my food. It was like $10 a person (awesome pricing). The portion sizes are larger than I expected for the brisket. The taste of both the ribs and brisket was perfect. They offer sweet, tangy, and spicy sauce for your dipping, pouring, or mopping pleasure. This is a must stop for BBQ fans. I think I read somewhere it is a chain...... It sounds like a smart investment to me. We will definitely be back whenever...

It was our first time eating here, and my kids are picky, but everyone liked their meals. Very relaxed place. Staff was friendly, and there was a steady flow of people coming in to grab carry out. This is a BBQ place that has you sauce your meats at the table (which is my preference). My wife didn't realize that until halfway through her sandwich, and said that it was a whole lot better with the sauce. We both liked the house sauce, a good balance of sweet and salty and just a bit of tang. You can't really judge a real BBQ place in one trip (unless it's terrible), and we'll be trying stuff from here again. I enjoyed the baby back ribs, and the 1/4 chicken, the smoked turkey was fine. My daughter enjoyed the shrimp and Mac and cheese. My sons enjoyed the ribs, and mini-corndogs. My wife liked the pulled pork once she sauced it. She also appreciated the two sides that were a part...
