We came on a Friday evening at 530p with two adults and three kids, ages 14, 13, and 9. It’s unclear when you enter if you’re supposed to wait to be seated, or order and seat yourself, but it’s the latter—order at the counter and then seat yourself. Staff were very friendly. They don’t really offer traditional pizzas like cheese/ pepperoni or Hawaiian so it took us a minute to decide what flavors to try. We ordered the large cheese sticks and two medium pizzas, the trailblazer and the black pearl. We asked that they hold the goat cheese on the black pearl, but I think the young man at the register was still figuring things out so the pizza came out with the goat cheese. It was fine. Not worth sending it back, but it would’ve been better without. All in all we paid about $50 and there was plenty of food. We were able to order immediately upon arrival and we were able find a table immediately as well. We got the big table in the back that seats five, but the rest of the booths appeared to seat four comfortably. By the time we left all of the tables were full. It took a minute for our order to come out, but worth the wait. The cheese sticks were delicious and worth getting! We got marinara and spicy ranch for dipping. The marinara was good, but I didn’t care for the spicy ranch. The trailblazer pizza was delicious. The crust was super good on all items! We will definitely return to try some...
Read moreAs someone who went to Pablos in high school, I loved going here because of the amazing deals and good pizza while supporting local businesses! As an adult I returned to show my partner what I enjoyed. We waited at the counter at the front of the line for 10 minutes while the cashier took multiple call to pickup orders. As someone that has worked in the food industry, I was patient but did not understand the logic behind the actions of the cashier. They took our name incorrectly but we gave them the benefit of the doubt because of how muffled masks can be. We were told that we could come to pick up our pizza in 40 minutes. We returned at that time and they told us it’d be ready in 15 minutes more minutes. I understand when a place is busy, however, it can be frustrating to be given an inaccurate estimated time when you have to drive back and forth to the restaurant. I wouldn’t mind waiting an hour and having my order ready or having the accurate estimated time to decide whether it is worth it to wait or go somewhere else. We arrived 15 minutes later and it was still not ready. We were given 2 drinks and cookies which I appreciate. We waited an hour and 20 minutes in total before our 1 medium and 1small pizza and regular cheese sticks were completed. I think the professionalism of the establishment needs to be evaluated before I...
Read moreI’ve tried this place out a couple of times now, primarily when I was looking to save time, as the Hot Tomato is usually busy, and Pablo’s usually isn’t. Now I understand why. After last night, I will not return. They need an adult there who teaches their staff how to work quickly and to deliver quality. Last night I had to leave Grand Junction quickly as we had an emergency back in Moab. I had two kids in the car who needed dinner, and I was going to be stuck at the hospital for an unknown time period, so I called Pablo’s from GJ to order to go. I explained the situation to the young man on the phone and asked if they could really try to fast track it, and he said that they would try, but it would probably be 30 minutes. I said ok, and arrived there 20 minutes later, paid my bill, and was told my pizzas were coming out of the oven. 20 minutes later, I asked them to please check, and they discovered they were still being made and were not even in the oven yet. I watched these three kids for 20 minutes move at the pace of stoned snails...it was truly pathetic. Apparently the owners of this branch don’t care enough about their customers or their product to ensure that they have hired and trained people who can deliver. I’ll be going to the Hot Tomato...a better pizza...and a...
