Worst experience ever. I came to cookin crab with high expectations with the high reviews and recommendations that I received but after today this was my first and last time here. I ordered a LB of shrimp with sausage, potatoes, and 2 eggs with steamed rice and corn, I also ordered a king crab with a potato egg and rice for my GF which came out perfect. After about 2 shrimps in and half my corn I noticed a hair on the next shrimp I went to grab next. It wasn’t an huge hair but big enough to notice and big enough to where I couldn’t forget about it and eat the rest of the bag as I shook my bag when I first got it. I immediately went to tell the person at the counter without making a scene. I gave him two options which was to either the make the bag again or comp the bag. He proceeded to go to the back, came back out and said he can only remake the shrimp but not the entire bag with the sides. After bringing me the new bag without the new sides my appetite was ruined and I felt un satisfied with the experience as they couldn’t even re make the entire bag as I only ate 2 shrimps, less than half the corn, 3 sausages out of 6, 1 egg out of 2, and 2 potatoes out of 3. I asked for the check and when he brought it I decided to ask for my portion of the meal refunded, he proceeded to give me attitude saying they already gave me a new bag to which I responded that they my appetite was ruined and that a hair floating in my bag contaminated all the other sides to where I couldn’t even eat the other sides. He proceeded to give me attitude pointing out things in the bag stating that I already ate a couple sausages and come of the corn and some potatoes to which I told him, I already took pictures of the hair on the shrimp and it’s either I pay for the full bag and I leave a detailed review or you remove the shrimp. he continued to say he wasn’t able to remove the shrimp but waived some of the sides including the 1 egg out of 2, and the corn. I’m a very accommodating and understanding person as I understand things happen. But this was the most cheapest thing any restaurant has ever did. Based off the reviews they’re aren’t struggling so I know my one review won’t deter people, however I can’t support a business like this and I will never recommend anyone to this establishment. I also asked for the manager but he gave me attitude saying he was, I asked who was the owner and he said his mom was so nothing I can do there either. Disgusting! Wasn’t about money either as I spent 50 plus on the king crab alone. 16.95 wasn’t worth being...
Read moreIncredible food, highly recommend. I was looking for a local seafood cajun boil place and Cookin' Crab is it! This place also has amazing Pho, it does cajun and Vietnamese very well.
I got the snow crabs in a bag with the lemon pepper flavoring and it was delicious and plentiful. Bags are priced with seafood only, you will have to add any corn or extras you want in the bag however I had plenty of meat. This paired perfectly with the lemon pepper fries, also extremely well done.
BEST CALAMARI I've ever had in my life, and I've eaten a lot of seafood, even in Italy! Calamari was strips instead of rings, perfect texture and not too much batter, just enough, absolute perfection. 👌
Partner had the filet mignon pho, which was tender and flavorful, will be going back frequently for both dinner options.
Located in a strip mall so parking was available. Nautical decor was a nice touch, seating had booth and table options....
Read moreCalled in the order for takeout to avoid a long wait during dinner time. Waited longer than 10 minutes quoted but not that big a deal. Adjust your time if you're in a big hurry. Vietnamese spring roll #1 with peanut dip, flame broiled seasoned pork slices, 1 piece egg roll and 3 pieces shrimp vermicelli #28 and 24 oz. less sweet taro milk tea. Counter staff, taste and quality of the Viernamese food and drink are awesome. 👌 Interior decor is ocean themed and the large shark in the center of the ceiling is fun to look at.
Edit: check your order in the bag before leaving to avoid returning because the kitchen staff doesn't notice an order for shrimp pho was packed with raw meat slices although receipts are clearly marked. Numerous apologies made it less aggravating. Fyi, they can only fill the large pho...
