Sabor! Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken y mas! — Restaurant in Fullerton

We took my mom here for her birthday since she wanted to try it. I hope she enjoyed herself but I was very disappointed. First thing was they were OUT of their rotisserie chicken. I know stuff happens, but when a place that has a food in their name is out of that particular food, that’s not a good look.

While ordering the cashier seemed very confused by our order and we had to repeat what we wanted a few times. No biggie. It happens. I didn’t get an itemized receipt though to see what was entered. We ordered the vegetarian rice plate for my husband and chicken rice plate. They brought us the chicken rice plate and beef plate. My husband is vegetarian so obviously we sent it back and said we got the vegetarian rice plate. They then brought my husband the vegetarian pasta plate! Wth? He just decided to deal w it, but he never got what he wanted and what we had originally ordered.

The food was good, but the service was meh since they messed up at the register and bringing our food and the atmosphere wasn’t much of anything. There was this random beeping/space sound that kept going off every 10 mins or so. For three people we ended up paying over 50 bucks!

Not worth it....

Honestly, I’ve been ordering food from here since they opened up. Every time I order either something is missing, they forgot to make the food (DoorDash) or they take way too long. I ordered on DoorDash this week and it said it would take 30 minutes. After I ordered the time went to 75 minutes. I called to ask why the time difference and they told me that it was being made and that it always take this long. When I told them that I order all the time and it usually done in less than 30 minutes, she said that they didn’t have any chicken ready and it takes an hour for it to be made. When I asked to cancel the order and get a refund, they refused. Than they said to call the owner tomorrow. I called 3 days in a row and the owner was never there. I do not like leaving a bad review but I do not appreciate the owner not getting back to me. I lost $80 on food that was never made. I ordered for dinner (6:15pm). I was a long time customer. I hope the owner gets back to me about this...

I was genuinely surprised by how good the food was; so much flavor and seasoned to perfection. They have so many unique dishes that I have never seen before, and while I can't vouch for the authenticity, I can say that it is a place worth trying. We got steak and fries, which also came with rice and plantains. The fries were nothing special, but the rest was so good. The plantains were delicious as well as their "magic" sauce. We got the passion fruit cheesecake, which was one of the best I've had. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back. Unfortunately, they do run out of their chicken, so don't come near closing like we did. Hopefully, next time, we can try it as it is...
