Been to a few Italian restaurants lately and this is the first one I feel is genuinely 5 stars. No complaints or problems with anything. Everything was great; the food, the service, the atmosphere. I took my wife there for her birthday. It was a Monday, so it wasn't very busy, which was awesome. Parking can be a problem in Downtown Fullerton on the weekends, but the weekdays are much better. The servers were great. They were constantly checking on us and refilling our water, even the servers who were waiting other tables. It was a team effort. It made us feel very comfortable and taken care of. The food was outstanding. The presentation of the plating wasn't anything visually stunning, but the taste was delicious! I got the salmon, which is one of their specials and it was cooked so perfectly. My wife got the chicken piccata, which typically comes with potatoes instead of pasta, but she was able to substitute the potatoes for pasta instead so she was very happy because she really wanted pasta for her birthday. For dessert, we got the tiramisu and creme brulee. Both were unbelievably amazing. The tiramisu maybe be in my top 5 tiramisu's of all time. It has a rich chocolatey flavor to it. It's fairly pricey. Most of the entrees fall into the $20-$30 range, but it's not any different from typical Italian places, so I can't complain that it's too expensive. All in all, we loved it and had a great time. This will definitely be a place we return to for special occasions.

Sorry, I'm in the minority here. I think it's a lovely location, the staff was nice, the ambience was memorable (we got the very back booth, so worth it) but the food wasn't it's best. I ordered the chicken parmigiana 4.6/10, the patty was dry, the cheese layer was scarce. Once I put the knife to it, it being so little and a thin layer, it practically vanished from the bite. The noodles were mushy. She ordered the chicken pomodoro, 7.2/10. It was tasty, cooked really well, noodles were just beyond al dente, not mushy though. Ordered the Cesar salad and we both didn't like 2.1/10. Ordered the calamari and the batter seemed good but most pieces were too chewy. But it wasn't overcooked and I did enjoy it overall so 6.3/10. I don't know that I'd come back. I might just to see if it was an off night since I enjoyed the location itself. I just won't trip over myself to get here. Shout-out to Juan, server, who just couldn't understand that we didn't like the Cesar salad. He was perplexed and asked multiple times. He tried but it just didn't have any flavor. It was like want raw lettuce with nothing on it. Just plain.

Great spot for special occasions or date night. Cozy vibes with dim lighting and a bar inside. Came here on a Sunday evening for a birthday celebration, and it was very busy! Highly recommend a reservation. Service was great. Food was delicious. Started with complimentary bread, Mussels in wine (10/10) and Fried Mozzarella (also 10/10). For mains, the Mulberry Feast was everyone's favorite. Very generous on seafood! Would also recommend the Shrimp Alfredo and Linguine Clam. The Mulberry Steak sauce & potatoes were delicious, but steak was a bit tough. Still good but will opt for pasta next time! They had a Halibut special and we didn't like that one. It was overcooked. Every main course comes with side salad or soup. I'd recommend upgrading to the French Onion Soup! So good. Creme Brulee dessert was very good. Portion is good for 2-4 to share! Overall had a great time here with my family, and look forward to coming back.

We wanted to go out for dinner on New Year's Eve. Somewhere nice, but not too expensive. We didn’t want restaurants with pricey prix fixe New Year’s Eve menu. We didn’t want trendy and crazy party places. So we found Mulberry Street Ristorante.

The restaurant was busy with a line of people waiting at the hostess stand. While waiting in line, we admired how beautiful the bar area is. We want to come back again to sit at the bar for their happy hour. Since we had a reservation, they had a table ready for us and we were seated immediately.

The restaurant is more of an old school traditional type of restaurant. Most of the clienteles are older adults. Exactly the type of restaurant we like. Mature people know good food and good value. And once they find a good place, they stick with it for a long time.

The restaurant offered the regular menu for New Year’s Eve with a few special dishes. The price is very reasonable.

Bread & Butter Love their bread! It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was hot when our waiter brought it to our table. So delicious with some melted butter.

Tomato Caprese | $11.95 Fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil, balsamic reduction. For the appetizer, we had Tomato Caprese. It was a very simple dish. Very fresh ingredients. The red tomato was sweet, and the yellow tomato was tart. With the soft mozzarella cheese and fragrant basil, it was the perfect combination.

Every entree comes with soup or salad. We upgraded our soup and salad and ordered one each to share.

French Onion Soup | $2 Instead of soup du jour, we asked for the French Onion Soup for $2 more. Rich, savory, and intense. It was a cup of really good French Onion Soup.

Caesar Salad | $3.25 We also upgraded to Caesar Salad from House Salad for $3.25 more. The salad was very light. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. I thought the salad was just ok, but Dr. P enjoyed it more than I did.

Mulberry Street Feast | $28.95 An abundance of mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, scallops and fresh fish in a zesty clam sauce, served over a bed of linguini. Choice of red or white sauce. Dr. P had Mulberry Street Feast. Not only it was a feast for the tummy, it was also a feast for the eyes. Mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, scallops and fish. So much seafood. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Then there was that zesty and garlicky white clam sauce. Dr. P couldn’t stop saying this was one of the best Italian dishes he’s ever had.

Chicken Parmigiana | $19.95 Lightly breaded and baked with marinara sauce, then topped with melted mozzarella cheese. I ordered Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken breast was very tender. Love the marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. Fettuccini alfredo was quite addicting. The sauteed vegetable was seasoned perfectly and very tasty.

We had such a great dinner at Mulberry Street. The food was delicious. Huge portion, too. We had enough left over for another meal. The service was courteous and friendly. We truly enjoyed our experience there on New Year’s Eve. Will definitely come back again to try more of their delicious Italian dishes. Very happy we found this...

UNBELIEVABLE My husband and I had dinner at Mulberry St on Mother's Day 2021. We were thrilled to be able to sit AT THE BAR and were served by Kevin (and chatted a bit with Shannon). Not only were we celebrating Mother's Day, but also our 27th wedding anniversary as well as our daughter's college graduation. It was a long weekend with friends and family and before flying back to WA the following day we wanted a final opportunity in CA for a date night with just the two of us.

Kevin was incredible. Conversations were great with him as well as a local who was also friends of the bartenders there.

Drinks we ordered: Pre-dinner: Vodka Martinis with Bleu Cheese Olives

With Dinner: Zinfandel (for the wife) and NZ Sauvignon Blanc (for the hubs). I was going to go with the Malbec but thankfully Kevin offered me samples first.

Dinner: Hubs ordered the special pan seared salmon with a creamy sun dried tomato sauce. Sooooo good. I ordered the Mulburry Feast with spicy marinara and it was loaded with amazing fish. Both of us chose the dinner salad with their Italian dressing with blue cheese and it was seriously the best dressing ever. The warm bread and butter was also very good.

DESSERT We never order dessert but couldn't resist when Kevin brought out the tray. We went with the Coconut Cake and holy hell was it epic.

Two nights prior we ate at Mastros and hands down Mulburry St blew Mastros out of the park (at a fraction of the cost). If you live in Fullerton and are not a regular here you need to see a doctor. This will be our go-to every time we're back visiting.

Thank you Kevin and Mulburry St for sending us back to WA on a high note. We will always remember this...

Visiting Mulberry St Ristorante in downtown Fullerton was an unforgettable experience, especially on St. Patrick's Day. Despite the festive occasion, my party and I were seated immediately upon arrival, a pleasant surprise that set the tone for the evening. The parmesan chicken I ordered was nothing short of amazing, boasting a generous portion that provided exceptional value for the cost. It's noteworthy how the restaurant, celebrated for its fresh and classic Italian cuisine, consistently delivers with dishes like the Chicken Marsala, Fettuccine Alfredo, and the Mulberry Steak, making every bite a delight.

The service was exemplary; our glasses were never empty, and the staff frequently checked in to ensure our dining needs were met, contributing to the overall excellent dining atmosphere. The ambiance of Mulberry St Ristorante, with its classy and welcoming setting, complements its extensive menu that caters to a variety of preferences, including vegetarian-friendly options.

Mulberry St Ristorante, a family-owned gem for over 35 years, nestles in the heart of downtown Fullerton, a vibrant area known for its rich dining scene. The restaurant's commitment to serving the community of North Orange County with fresh and authentic Italian dishes is evident in every meal served

In conclusion, my experience at Mulberry St Ristorante was memorable for all the right reasons. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. I'm looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience...
