We had always been pleased with Assaggio's pasta so we thought we'd try one of their pizzas. We ordered a half ham and pineapple and half hamburger and pepperoni. Visually, the pizza was not cut into even portions nor were the toppings evenly distributed over the pizza. The pizza itself had very little taste. Like the toppings were not cooked with the pizza but thrown on as an afterthought. The pepperoni still tasted like cold cuts, the hamburger was way overcooked and the pineapple tasted watery, like straight out of a can. We had really high hopes and were left very disappointed.

We finally got the chance to try Assaggio's out the other day, and it was better than we ever expected. We got a meat lovers pizza, fried ravioli, and the garlic knots. The fried ravioli was hands down the best fried ravioli I've ever had. All of the staff was super nice, and asked us a few times to make sure we were happy with our food. The staff was also very helpful with helping us figure out what we wanted to eat. I highly recommend trying Assaggio's, if you are anywhere near Fuquay!

This place went WAY downhill quality wise. I spent $44 on an extra large cheese and pepperoni and it was like throwing money in the trash. Cheese was low quality, pepperoni was strangely paper thin and not even melted into the cheese, crust tasted bland and had no bubbles like it didn’t have enough yeast and the sauce tasted like plain tomato sauce. Tastes like cafeteria pizza from childhood. Never again.

I went with my family of 5 and ate in. We ordered 2 pizzas, 1 small sub, and 5 fountain drinks. With pizza, we typically order extra so that we can take home leftovers. The bill was $70 not counting tip which is on the high side even if the food is really good. The employee that took our order was nice.

The pizza was terrible. The sauce and cheese had no flavor whatsoever and this highlighted the fact that the pizza crust was even worse than the sauce and cheese.

One of the pizzas was round and plain while the other was square and half plain/half supreme. Both pizzas were brought to the table about 15 minutes after ordering them. The round pizza was scalding hot and looked as if it was baked and cut the day before and then reheated for our order. The square pizza was lukewarm around the edges and cool in the middle. A large thick crust square pizza should take longer to bake.

I am certain that for the square pizza they took a stale pizza crust, prepared in advance (or possibly retrieved from a dumpster or mud hut in Afghanistan) and dumped the toppings on to it as they placed it in a low wattage microwave oven long enough to almost melt the cheese. The crust had a texture that was like a spongy flatbread or what I might imagine as a thick soft cracker found floating in a toilet at a bus station. Even the toppings such as pepperoni, sausage, ham, mushrooms, onions, and peppers had no flavor which tells me that all the ingredients were far from fresh.

The pizzas were so awful! It was as if all of the ingredients had been boiled for hours -- long before placing them upon a crust -- which had been prepared weeks before and then pried from the hands of a goat herder in Kandahar and delivered to the restaurant on the back of a camel.

We doused the food in large amounts of salt, garlic, parmesan cheese, and hot pepper seeds and ate as much as we could, primarily out of anger and frustration at having just wasted $70 trying a pizza place that we hadn’t been to before. As far as the leftovers go, we left them at the restaurant. We all felt mildly sick afterward.

The toasted Italian sandwich wasn’t as terrible. It tasted like something purchased from a vending machine and heated in a toaster oven.

I feel great shame for having forced my family to consume some of the pizza and the memory of this meal will haunt me for the rest of my life. If I had all the free time in the world, I would stand in front of this place and warn people before...

This place didn't look authentic the moment I walked in. When walking up to order the first thing I realize are the ridiculous prices they have for each of their menu items, they were as much or even more than traditional franchised restaurants. I had my family with me and ordered shrimp scampi, fettuccine alfredo, chicken parmesan, and traditional spaghetti. None of those dishes came close to what they should have tasted like, the spaghetti sauce was watery, the chicken looked like it was microwaved while frozen, the alfredo sauce tasted like it was expired, and the scampi was way too sour. This is the first and final time I'm coming to this place; you can obviously tell that they don't use fresh ingredients the instant you get your food. I hope this place gets shut down for being a poorly established "Italian Restaurant" that cheat their customers of their money for poorly made food which shouldn't be served for human consumption. This place deserves a 1 star, I recommend anyone who reads this to look for another italian based restaurant and not suffer the quality of this place and...

We have used Tom and Assagios Italian of FV for about 7 years since relocating from the North Eastern Metro Area. I have always been happy w/ everything ( Food / Service / Employees etc. ) I have even given them kudos for the many people that ask me about who our " go to Place for Italian " is. Last night, my wife and I got 2 dinners and it cost about $32, which again I am used to paying as the quality and portions have always been acceptable. Last night , it seemed as if the one meal was divided into 2 !! My Chicken Cutlet parmagiana which was 2 pieces ( as always was previously ) had each piece the size of a cigarette pack !! Usually after eating i am satisfied but that was indeed not the case last night. Very , very , very disappointing. Not sure, if we will give them another chance but will be definitely testing the competition. Thanks again, Tom for your past services / products but not sure if you had a new chef last night but we were extremely...
