okay so I know this is fast food. But to me, and to my son, we both feel like its similar to home cooked food, or going to a restaurant. It's absolutely a step above a typical fast food restaurant. Although it is fast. I guess you can think of it as somewhat like a Subway you go in and you just build the salad or burrito from scratch by choosing all of the items from the display case in front of you. 3 salsas hot medium mild and the nice flavor of the beans and the nice moist salad, to tell you the truth I never ordered any salad dressing because everything is so fresh and flavorful that when mixed together that's plenty of flavor saving calories. This particular review is from Chipotle in North Carolina, Raleigh. But I live in California. I'll tell you one thing about the staff at this North Carolina location - lots of Southern hospitality, super friendly eager to help and they look you in the eye and they're smiling and patient and good at explaining the menu. The staff member that works there is the one that gave me the subway analogy. I knew I had to stop in there because my son goes there all the time and loves it. While he was out of town, I stayed at his house for some dog sitting. I intentionally went to Chipotle and took that picture just so that I could text it to my son to make him jealous. And it worked! The food really was as tasty as my son said that it was. And I will certainly try it again when I need a...
Read moreWe visited last night, and it took very long, there didn't seem to be a manager around, and the place was really dirty. The grill was black with food cooked on, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day, except for the piles of charred on food/debris that had been scraped off at some point and were sitting at the bottom of the grill in heaps. There was brown lettuce all around the bin where the lettuce was sitting, looking like it also hadn't been cleaned all day. The bin of dressing behind the lettuce was almost empty, and we could see a puddle of dressing sitting there from one that must have spilled. There were dried beans and residue all around the beans and rice containers on the stainless steel countertop. Also, it seemed that the people making the food really didn't know what they were doing, which is strange since they essentially just put what you're telling them on your food.
The worst part was when we started eating our food, and either the mild or medium salsa had obviously gone bad. The taste was tangy and carbonated, like when it's spoiled. I really hope they can get it together, it's a great option...
Read moreWe were very disappointed in our experience on 4/8. The store was filthy, the floor looked like it hadn’t been swept in days. When we arrived, there was a sample cup of half eaten chicken al pastor sitting in the straw waste basket, it was removed before I got the picture. Still, the area was pretty disgusting to be housing utensils that people use to eat with. The food was cold, chicken was old. I asked for extra cheese and was given so much, that’s literally all I could taste. We were charged for large chips without being asked and the bag was not even filled to the first natural fold line. Queso was orange. Employees cared more about socializing than the food. Cashier was beyond rude. Music was turned way up and down in volume (employees were playing with it) while we were trying to eat and talk, so loud that we could not hear each other sitting across from each other. We were there for about 45 minutes and instead of cleaning the clearly disgusting store, employees chit chatted, danced, threw up gang signs with their hands. We drive about 45 minutes to visit this location but will NOT be...
