Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Gainesville

Wow, this place needs to hire better folks. My last visit was completely terrible and dare I say ghetto. I was there Nov 16 at 3 pm. Intercom on then off. Push button again and after a while a very uninterested in working man i believe took order of a pretzel and bbq popcorn chicken, waited 30 min with no delivery. Push button again and another uninterested woman was informed i was not delivered and she said, "what'd u have?" I repeat order n she says ok and communication stops. After same woman delivers and tries t say what i ordered but gives up and hands me the food and takes off. I leave to find out, no fork, wrong flavor on popcorn chicken AND chicken is the cruddy little bits with almost no ACTUAL meat in it. Terrible. I note date and time so hopefully something is done to make this place better. I was going to order a large order for a party...

This Sonic is by far the best one around, with managers like Brendan and Kenzie leading the team they execute drive in dining flawlessly. I had some trouble with the app, so I gave the store a call and my concerns were met with the best "let's get this fixed" attitude.

It's so refreshing to have such a fantastic customer service experience. Especially in the fast food industry, you can't beat the service that they provided. The rest of the Sonic's in the area need to take a page from this locations play book and step it up. I will definitely be back, without a doubt. I'm thinking Coney's for dinner! You won't be disappointed. Thank you so much you guys...

The Gainesville Sonic on California is horribly slow. They took 5 minutes to answer after the Red Button was pushed. I had ordered on the app and couldn't get it to check in. I changed to the next stall which allowed my check-in. Another car parked in the stall we had left and ended up leaving due to no answer. The drinks of came out with another 10 minutes later (two or three minutes after the screen said Michael is on the way with your order). They didn't even have the correct lids. This seems to be the norm with this Sonic location. We'll keep going out of our way to the Sonic on North Grand...
