We having been looking for a place that serves Japanese Sandos and came across Neko Nook. This is a nice little "cafe" and we were lucky to find a place to sit during our visit. The place was busy throughout our visit with a mix of dine in and takeout customers. Placing the order was easy and food was ready is a reasonable time as well. Here is a review of the dishes we ordered Strawberry Sando - very good and perfectly made Matcha Strawberry Sando - very good and perfectly made Hambagu Sando - the sando was good as well - the flavors were good though a tad bit on the weaker side Shrimp Shumai - good shumai and nice crispy shell Berkshire Pork Gyoza - this was a good dish as well Teriyaki Chicken Bento - probably the weakest flavors of all the dishes we tried Beef Bento - a good dish
The free sando chips were a good addition to the meal as well!
This is a good food option...
Read moreYou all are being so harsh and judgmental and it shows. Read the room. It’s not their fault this SMALL but CUTE cafe literally just opened and got blown up on TikTok. I had a long wait yes, but I can at least see they are doing their best and trying their hardest and making sure everyone is satisfied and always thanking everyone for their patience. As a new business, it takes a while to get a good flow and have everything figured out. Give them some grace, let alone some time. I personally really enjoyed my chicken teriyaki sando and I hope to eventually try the strawberry sando of course. I didn’t mind the matcha I got, but if I’m being honest I’ve still had a bit better but I’m sure they were just trying to fulfill every order as sufficiently as possible. Please don’t be mean. This place deserves the business but give...
Read moreThis cafe benefits from the Instagram, which effectively showcases its appealing aesthetic. My recent visit was prompted by proximity, I was in the area at a nearby furniture store. The cafe itself is quite small, resulting in limited seating and a crowded atmosphere, likely exacerbated by the IG hype. My dining experience was mixed. The chicken teriyaki was alight but not particularly memorable. The strawberry and cream sandwich, while not overly sweet (a positive aspect), was ultimately a simple offering that felt overpriced for what it was. While the cafe is worth a visit if you happen to be in the vicinity, I would not recommend making a special trip from a distance (such as Washington, D.C.) solely to...
