I minded my own business, girlfriend at the time was over served amongst the other people to my right at thee bar that had very much inappropriate conversations in Díne_ Navajo & Spanish which made me feel very uncomfortable. As well as that I just wanted to watch the game at the time but Gabby over-served her as well as three other members on her right to my inclination; I don't care about that because I just wanted to watch the Lakers game eventually. At the time it was the Boston and Dallas playing against each other during the 2nd quarter before I went to my vehicle three separate times which was argued by a separate individual after that game;the first time was to give a homeless man change that they allow to freeze on their porch in front of Applebee's. I found that pretty despicable so I helped him with change the first interaction as well as giving my jacket bestowed from my mom. A gentleman saw me give a jacket to him and eventually came back and gave the homeless man a beanie; we shook each other's hands and appreciated each other; so did the cold gentleman when I 1st brought him inside lounge out of decency. His hands were cold to the touch when I have tried to shake this homeless person's hands, even got him a water cup & Applebee's here trying to act better then ppl that can die from the cold outside their establishment. 2nd time was to get dog food from Tractor Supply B4 they close for my new pups that were abandoned. And I was told lies from my ex-girlfriend how I went through her wallet and stole her ID and debit card told by gabby. I'm saying this now because Gabby has talked bad about me before & expressed to me when I'm excusing myself to the men's restroom before I even knew her name in the past. Eventually the manager came to confront me after I confront Gabby coming back hearing the opposite side of what I'm told. The manager threatened to call the cops and I insisted for her to do that when I came back from all this negligence. After things get resorted I'm asked to leave which I did. I would just like to state that Gabby didn't check my ID nor her. Which she usually has. I only told one customer the vendetta that I had to get the keys of my ex-girlfriend (2nd) to help. All of a sudden when I'm confronting the establishment Gabby spills it in front of the manager that I was too intoxicated and try taking my girlfriend's keys. She knows about how I got dog food for my pups that were abandoned on the road and I picked up because my girlfriend talks too damn much. Anyway the customer to my left that I enclosed that info with told her that the keys were locked in her vehicle which I had to get. She said that in front of the manager(3rd), which is most upsetting. And nothing was done. I called to apologize, and that manager must have had me on speaker because I hear some of the staff laughing in the background. She disclosed to me that she's trying to clock them out when she was on the phone with me. But those are the type of people that are working there and she said I'm welcomed back after I apologize and hearing that laughter and I confronted it she denied that laughter from her staff. I don't want to put her name out there but she is the manager of the night shift. I find that pretty disgusting as a Wildland Firefighter and Caretaker for Veterans. If they want to do that they should be comedians. Also I tipped but I wouldn't...
Read moreOh well. Terrible experience this evening after a good one a few weeks ago. The server at the bar was apparently ill-equipped to deal with the public. "What do you want," was the greeting I received. No smile, no welcome, just a flat-line stare as if I was an unwelcome irritant to her night. Ordered a glass of Cabernet (was supposed to be on Happy Hour, but second was never offered - didn't want it anyway at that point.) Ordered a Bourbon Street steak, which came out in a timely fashion. It was only then (not at the time of the order,) that the server figured out I didn't have any silverware. She seemed surprised that I needed a fork and knife. The steak was cooked correctly, although the server never checked to see if that was the case. In fact, she never checked on anything else. The bottle of steak sauce that I requested was almost empty when the server brought it to me. I placed it upside down in front of the girl after I emptied the last dregs of it. The server was moving back and forth around the bar, but she blissfully ignored the obvious signal that I could use another bottle of 57. As a past bar/restaurant owner, I watched for any signs of personality exhibited towards other customers (a critical component in a people business,) but failed to note any. Rule #1 for people managing the front of the house - don't use employees who cannot interact in a friendly/personable manner with the guests and make them feel welcome. Applebee's would have been much better served to utilize an automated system to serve me...it would have been programmed to do a better job, and I wouldn't have felt as unwelcome and uncomfortable as I did. I normally tip very well, knowing what most servers/bartenders go through in a shift (30-50%.) I left this person very little (14%,) and actually considered a $0 tip for a few moments. It was that miserable an experience. Applebee's...if you need help training your people to increase or retain your business, contact me. I'm expensive, but it would be worth your while in the long run. As it stands, I won't be back to this location, and I'll be thinking twice about going to any other. Complacency kills, especially in your business (e.g. Friday's, O'Charley's, Bennigans - all chains that are shutting down locations left and right.) You are a people business before you are a food...
Read moreBOOOOO!!! IF UR "BLACK" AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. I just walked in to have something to eat & watch Football. The bar was full. The booth tables were empty but they all were full of "DIRTY" PLATES, GLASSES, Etc. One of the guest at a "Tall" table offered me an extra tall chair so I sat down against a side booth and "WORLD WAR 3 BEGINS"!! A young Latino employee approaches me talking very LOUD to embarrass me in front of the other guest. "EXCUSE ME SIR YOU CAN'T SIT THERE"!! I asked him to lower his voice, and clean the booths. This young man continues to challenge me still "Loud Talking". I ask for a manager. The Manager (Latino) approaches and gets aggressive and "Loud Talking" me trying to Embarrass me for I was the only "BLACK" person in the restaurant. I asked her, "Why don't you just clean the tables"? She said, "YOU DON'T WORRY ABOUT THOSE TABLES!! YOU CAN'T SIT HERE"!! I felt like they were trying to bait me into a situation where they called the "Police".. I asked the manager for a business card to call and report this matter to APPLEBEES corporate office and she refused to give me a business card or any information on how I could contact the corporate office. She wouldn't even give me her full name. All she said is her her name was Veronica. Then another young lady employee (LATINO) came over "Loud Talking" and acting aggressive. So now I have 3 Applebee's Employees acting aggressive & BULLYING me when all they had to do was CLEAN THE TABLES. Customer Service was "ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC".
