I want to preface by saying this will go down as one of the worst customer service interactions I have ever had. I was so infuriated that I went home and had to write a review.
We ordered 3 large pizzas at 9PM for takeout. We arrived at 9:30 to pickup our order and here is what happened:
The cashier was dealing with the customer in front of me. He placed an online order but she was not able to locate it. she took a solid 5 minutes trying to figure it out but couldn't. There was 4 total customers there and two registers. She bottlenecked herself by solely focusing on the customer in front of us instead of using the second register to ring out the other 3 customers. She was rushing but achieving nothing.
She was rushing trying to figure out the order and accidentally tripped and fell on the heat lamp that keeps the pizza hot. She literally burned herself and looked like she was in pain. There were 7 total employees in the store and no one did ANYTHING. She stopped everything she was doing to put burn cream on her. The manager was sitting in the office and gave her the cream. The manager was fully aware that there was an injured employee dealing with 4 customers and consciously decided to sit in his office instead of getting up to help his INJURED EMPLOYEE.
She comes back to try to deal with 4 customers and her facial expressions suggest she is in pain and wants to cry. her viciously shaking her hand to cool down the burn showed that she was in agony and everyone in that building that worked there decided to do nothing while she tried to deal with all of us.
As a retail store manager, one of the most serious events that can happen is a recordable injury. when something like that happens, the manager needs to take care of the situation but the acting manager did NOTHING.
I can excuse someone being slow. I can excuse mediocre customer service. I can excuse slow queue times. But as a retail manager, I can never excuse an injured employee being ignored while she is in agony and somehow still taking care of all the customers in front of her while every other employee is in their own little world. I genuinely hope that district leadership views this review because an employee should not be expected to work while they burn...
Read moreThis was a sad experience. I ordered pizza at 8:00pm after a long day at the hospital with my husband. I ordered delivery to my hotel, it showed on the tracker that it was on its way so I left the hospital and headed back to the hotel. I get a call when I get in my car from Papa John’s saying if I pick up the pizza instead of delivery they will give me half off, I said fine I’m on mg way. I get there at 9:00, the place is chaotic and full of angry customers. I waited til 10:00 before I said anything (2 hours after I ordered). I asked how much longer they said it’s in the oven. I was told this 4 times before I asked for a manger. The manager avoided me and wouldn’t give me an answer as to where my pizza was. I was already charged full price for the pizza that was now 2 hours late when they finally handed me the pizza at 10:30, it was the wrong order. I just left I couldn’t take these unprofessional people any longer they had no clue what they were doing. Complete joke, manger needs to be trained. The only one with a calm helping attitude was the cashier. This was the second bad encounter I have had with this Papa John’s. Don’t go here you will just leave mad and with the wrong order. Whoever owns this franchise needs to hire new workers who know what they’re doing or get these people trained properly. This is a high traffic,...
Read moreDisgusting display of service and Christina shouldn’t be employed with other humans. If I could do negative stars i would.
We are visiting from out of town, and needless to say are a little out of our element with addresses. We place an order to be delivered at the hotel we are in, so we just walk the front door like a hawk trying to make sure we don’t miss them. A hour passes. Soooo I place a call to the store to find out if there were further issues etc. I call and immediately am placed on hold for 7 min. I hang up, and call back and finally inquire. Then I am out on hold 3 more times, each duration the same. Then here comes the real gem of the south, Christina. She says “nope. It was voided. The address took us to a gas station and we didn’t know where to go.”.. so I say “we were worried, and are staying right at blank blank hotel” she then says with the snarkiest attitude, “we’ll WHY WAS THE ADDRESS wrong then?!” I couldn’t even. I just hung up. Papa Johns, Christina will single handedly ruin your business in this location if she isn’t retrained properly. I am a multi unit business manager, and literally threw up in my mouth at the distasteful disgrace of customer service this character portrayed. I’m disgusted. She should prob be fired so y’all can actually...
