Residence at West Beach — Local services in Galveston

I lived here around 9 months and every time I go outside to smoke on the balcony neighbors harass me about it and and even got a lease violation just for smoking outside( if you smoke this is not the place for you) there is constantly something that needs to be fixed and when my toilet flooded our living room (wasn’t clogged completely empty) they tried to blame it on us had to spend a lot of money to clean our rug because of water damage they Didn’t reimburse us Finally got out of that place it is literally falling apart both showers randomly stop working the towel racks all fell off very aggressive staff when we called to get our microwave fixed we were told to learn how to cook.🤦‍♂️(was not a retaliation it was the truth) we were already trying to move and already found a way nicer place for even cheaper right on the ocean. At this other complex right on the beach much happier away from that toxic Management. The only people that stay can’t afford to leave I talked with several other neighbors and they all had cockroach infestations that the management wouldn’t do...

Cool residents, very friendly, affordable, great caring staff, professional, and the location you cannot beat if you like the beach and beach people. Otherwise just stay away because if you don't like the beach or water, then stay away, you're wasting your time. Apartment residence is currently going through massive upgrades such as new wood facades, stairs, paint job, dog park, residence office, and apartment units. Note, there is some rusted support beams for your balconies, a 3-story workout if you're moving on the 3rd floor; and strict parking rules where you're assigned a sticker and have to park within the parking lines otherwise you're towed away and have to pay $300 to get your car out of storage (reason: close to city Galveston West Beach metered parking so visitors to the beach try to park in the local nearby Walk and apartments try to avoid paying fines and parking fees). UPDATE: The new management sent my account to a collections agency claiming I did not pay my move-out balance. I clearly have proof that this was paid, and I even emailed them before they sent it to collections and asked if they would like to see proof from my bank. The manager Kelly responded she would "look into it". Next thing I know, I am getting calls from the collection agency without her even contacting me. My balance on their website clearly says zero. I don't think the new management here knows what they are doing at all.

I have lived here for a year and it has been great. The apartments are updated, and if you have any issues the maintenance is fast. They have different activities in the office to bring people together, and the staff is always very friendly. They are also under new management, and many repairs and updates have been happening on the property which is great. Would definitely recommend if you live...
