This has got to be one of the most underrated restaurants in the entire Treasure Valley, on my life. I really wasn't expecting much, but walked out blown away and woke up the next day still dreaming of this out-of-the-world food.
107.9 LiteFM's Michelle Hart does a fantastic thing where every so often she curates a list of 5 lesser-known yet highly underrated Boise eateries. Fiesta Chicken was featured on the second list published in February 4th. Until then, I never gave Fiesta a second glance. The name doesn't really stand out and I'd never heard anything about it. After reading Michelle's article and viewing the menu, I was intrigued and decided, what the heck. BEST DECISION EVER.
A+++++ and more for value and quality! I ordered a #1: 3 Piece Leg & Thigh with rice and beans (comes when with two warm flour tortillas, but you can choose corn, $7.59) and my husband bellied up to a Carne Asada Supreme Burrito (beef, rice, bean, cheese, onions, cilantro, guacamole, pico de Gallo and sour cream, $6.79). We were both beyond impressed with our selections! The big hit was definitely the chicken. Grilled to perfection, the meat was amazingly moist, I'm taking melt-in-your-mouth moist and charbroiled to absolute perfection. It got me wishing I ordered the 4 piece just to have more goodness. Every bite combined with a spoonful of rice and beans took my tastebuds to heaven, over and over again. The rice and beans were an excellent combination, I wouldn't recommend any other sides. Rice was flavored very authentically, paired very well with the soft beans. The burrito was fantastic as well. Talk about value! For under $7.00 we got a burrito that lasted two meals. And it tasted just as good reheated the following day.
Fiesta Chicken certainly exceeded my very mere expectations. It goes to show that you really shouldn't judge any place by it's name or location because it just might be some of the best food you'd ever eat. I was so delighted by this delicious experience I already planning to go back in a couple days with some friends. Thanks for a wonderful experience Fiesta Chicken! I can't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I entered this unassuming little restaurant, little did I suspect the den of chicken glory I had discovered. This place is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant nowadays. Their chicken is phenomenal and I highly recommend it; I can't speak to their beef because I haven't yet consumed all of the chicken this place has produced. Their nachos are staggeringly vast, absolutely loaded with everything good and holy in this world, and I always share them with my girlfriend because it's the only way I can both eat this and return to work semiconscious. Their burritos are so packed with deliciousness that no earthly tortilla can contain their magnificence. They have a special creamy cilantro sauce; do yourself a favor and ask for it with whatever you order. If you order a single diet coke, make sure they put creamy cilantro in it. It will make you question the perceived quality of every sauce you've ever had up to that point. Their street tacos are absolutely delicious as well. Not only all this, but the pricing is downright low for the quality and quantity of the food you get, and the employees are friendly. The venue is a little small, but you expect me to care about the venue?! This restaurant could be contained inside a shoebox and I would still give it 5*. This place...
Ā Ā Ā Read morereally fantastic place with the best chicken. but i have to say i really would love if they could make the soup less scalding. everytime i get it, i burn my tongue and it hurts for the next three days. and i keep sitrring it and its still too hot to eat when everyone else is done with their meal.....it is hotter than starbucks extra hot coffee.... it should be illegal to serve liquid that actually burns your body.... this is a serious safety concern as it could spill in the car on my feet as well. im surprised they havent gotten in legal trouble because of this soup tempurature before. i dont mean spicy, i mean hot. i had to go vote late last night and i didnt have time to wait for it to cool down and i didnt want to water down my soup. so i just had to eat it before it cooled down cuz there was nothing else to eat. hopefully my tongue will heal soon. if its too cold by the time someone gets home, one can always just heat it up at home. ....all my family burns their tongue too when...
