First of all, I believe this restaurant change its name or under new ownership. It used to be Gardena Chinese Buffett.
5 years ago we celebrated my mom’s 80th Birthday party here.We rented the Buffet lounge and spent over $1000. Now my mom is 85 years old and my sister and I thought we should probably do the same thing again. We went back and thought the treatment will be the same. Let’s start with customer service.
I am a very patient and a respectful person especially when it comes to the restaurant employees. I am very nice to them because I don’t want an extra flavor (spit) in my food. Here’s the main reason why I did this review. My sister and I are willing to give this place a try and willing to spend $1000 for my mom’s 85th birthday party again however , we did not get that. When we arrived at the restaurant , we asked the front hostess some information about holding a large birthday celebration her face looked so annoyed and doesn’t want to help us. She was totally being racist to us. She didn’t even wanna look at us and she looked so mean. She was very rude to us. I understand if she was busy , but it’s not busy we came in at the time that it wasn’t busy at all. We were the only 2 people in the front and 1 guy waiting. The hostess looked like she doesn’t know how to speak English or she was just having a bad day and taking it on us her customers.
TO THE OWNER : I am sorry I have to do this review , but please you need to make sure that you give proper training to your employees. Hire someone at the front desk who can deliver a Good CUSTOMER SERVICE Hire someone that actually wanted a job. I am sorry you lost our business.
TO THE EMPLOYEES : If you don’t want this kind of job don’t do it. Let other people who needed a job take this job. Your customers are paying your paycheck they are your bosses treat them with respect and care. Customers spend their money and it’s not cheap. Think about it for a minute if you don’t have any customers the restaurant will not exist. People go to restaurants to eat and celebrate with their friends, family and love ones. They spend their money , so please give them a great customer service. It is not hard to do you’re getting paid for it.
TO THE CUSTOMERS: The only way we can bring back a good customer service is if we speak about it and let them know ,so they can make a change. Don’t be afraid to give your feedback good or bad.

Read moreAfter seeing videos, we decided to drop by to check Ichiban Buffet out. The best thing about the buffet is that they have snow crab legs and individual ice cream cups for dessert. Aside from that, I honestly wasn't impressed.
The lobby was filled with people waiting for tables to open up, and the restaurant was full. The turnaround wasn't too bad, as most people weren't waiting too long to be seated. They have a private room and the main large room for seating options. I felt that the restaurant itself was about as clean as any other buffet that I've been to, it wasn't overly dirty, but I definitely wouldn't trust any type of 5-10 second rule.
While there was a decent selection of cold and hot foods, as well as a hibachi grill, the food's quality wasn't all there. a majority of the food felt overcooked, and some felt slimy, as if the food had been out a long time. I was struggling to fill a second plate, as nothing really looked appealing. I might consider coming back for the snow crabs, and perhaps try again though, as maybe it was a one-off situation.
Our tables were frequently cleared and our drinks were refilled often, though they take your cup and add to it instead of dropping off a new cup and taking the old one away. Make sure your party is all there when they call you...

The food was great the service was good. But the bathroom OH THE BATHROOM WHEN I TELL YOU THE BATHROOM IT WAS THE MOST WORST EXPERIENCE EVER HAD WHEN I HAD TO TAKE A BUMP BUT WHEN I WAS DOING MY BUSINESS IN THEIR BATHROOM the light went out. It's not like the whole restaurant had a black out . No it was just the light in the bathroom that went out and the light and by the way I was alone in the bathroom which made it worse but thankfully the light came back one for one of my relatives. But that was the worst part because the stal I was in was the last satl and when I can to unlock the door to wash my hand it did not want to unlock I was stuck IN THE STAL I WAS ALONE SCREAMING FOR HELP BUT WHEN I ASK FOR HELP TO OPEND THE DOOR IT WOULD NOT OPEN EVEN WHEN MY SISTER AS ALSO THERE TRYING TO HELP ME IT WAS NOT WORK so the most response I can do in that situation was crawl under the stal and gag from that smell from the bathroom stal but and the end when I escaped the stal and the light turning off.
