I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was so unacceptable and unprofessional that I feel obligated to warn others.
We sat down, placed our order, and everything seemed fine at first. Shortly after, I stepped away to use the restroom, and when I returned, the waiter told me that the dish I had ordered wasn’t available. I had to reorder something else, which was frustrating but not a huge deal. However, when our food arrived, it was completely wrong—I was served oxtail pho instead of the oxtail soup with rice I ordered, and my boyfriend’s pho was missing beef balls. We were disappointed but decided to just eat and not say anything.
That’s when things took a turn for the worse. The staff started cleaning up early, stacking chairs and making the atmosphere unpleasant, even though we were still eating. Then, they started talking in Spanish, assuming we wouldn’t understand—but my boyfriend did. He overheard them mocking us for being unhappy with our food.
Despite this, we tried to ignore it and finish our meal, but then the waiter dropped two huge extra sauces on our table, crowding the space unnecessarily. When we politely asked him to remove them, he refused, smirked at us in an insulting way, and laughed. My boyfriend confronted him, asking what his problem was, but he just walked away, still laughing.
To make things worse, he then came back and started speaking to me in Spanish, clearly mocking me. At that point, my boyfriend, who understood everything, called him out on how unprofessional and rude he was being. The waiter continued smirking and laughing, and we had enough. We left immediately, with barely having eaten and without paying, because the entire experience was ruined.
This was one of the most disrespectful and uncomfortable dining experiences we’ve ever had. The level of rudeness, unprofessionalism, and lack of basic customer service is shocking. We will never return and do not recommend this...
Read moreWorst pho I've ever eaten. Soup was lukewarm. It tasted like they put beef and noodles in toilet water and served it in a bowl. Servers never checked on us either. My girlfriend also ordered a side of eggs for her rice dish and asked it to be made sunny side up. It came out burnt. I mean, they couldn't even make eggs right. Can you believe that? Even a Denny's on the side of some freeway can make sunny side up eggs. Me and my girl aren't Vietnamese but we were both saying we could probably attempt to make pho at home and it would've tasted better than that foul bowl of disgusting noodle that they called pho. They also raised the price. Not a single worker or customer was Asian. Not trying to be a bigot but it's just an indication of how bad this place is.
If you want the most disgusting pho with the worst service, come here. If you want good pho, go to Saigon Dish, Nam kitchen, Pho house, or Pho Hue Oi, or any one of the many pho restaurants nearby. They should be ashamed of themselves for calling this place a pho restaurant when there are far better pho restaurants nearby. I will never be back. Seriously, you can throw up in a bowl and put noodles in it and it would taste like the pho they served me. The table next to me also left after taking a bite out of their soup. Never again, unless you want to...
Read moreI’m Vietnamese. I did not see one Vietnamese eating there nor working there. Hell I didn’t even see another Asian person in the whole establishment. But I kept an open mind and gave it a try.
The food was not authentic tasting at all, and the presentation was subpar. Vietnamese cuisine is big on garnishments and presentation, the side dish of herbs and vegetables that came with my dish was not fresh. The lettuce and cucumber was kind of old. And the white rice was sort of undercooked!
I ordered the Vietnamese spring roll, and it was poorly wrapped and too big. A well made spring roll is wrapped very carefully, with the proportions of Ingredients being particular. You can just tell it wasn’t made by someone well-versed in Vietnamese cuisine.
I ordered the beef short ribs dish, and the server only gave me a knife. Okay…took me forever to flag him down to ask for a fork.
I’m really confused by all the high reviews, they must not eat Vietnamese food very often. And for the price point, which was high, you should expect better.
The floor was sticky and filthy.
This is California. So many great options for Vietnamese food. Anybody who is familiar, will be able to see that this...
