We love supporting local businesses and had high hopes for this cute little coffee shop downtown.
We ordered two drip coffees, two muffins, and a savoury and sweet croissant and our bill came to $35.
Service: they were nice and patient as we ordered. The issues came when we tried to get our order. The staff seemed disorganized. They gave us our sealed bag with an incomplete order.
Food: They heated up our croissants (didn’t ask first) and then wrapped the croissants in paper, which made them steamed tough and no longer flaky. We’ve never had a chocolate croissant the kids couldn’t or didn’t want to eat but the kids wouldn’t eat it so the adults tried them and were immediately disappointed. The muffins were great! The coffee was lukewarm but fine tasting.
Atmosphere, it’s a small cafe type coffee shop with a desk you order at, small bakery display and $10 loaves on a shelf on the wall. There are a couple of tables outside and a few inside. It’s...

The croissant my friend got who accompanied me, was rock solid. She was completely unable to bite into it. When spending 20 dollars I expect for the food to at least be edible. Our bagels were doughy and didn’t even seem toasted. I am typically not the person to leave reviews like this but this is really disappointing for spending a collective 60 dollars for pastries and coffee. There was also a literal child working...
Read moreWe drive from Texas to Michigan every summer to see family and take different routes each time, always trying new coffee shops, and this is one of my favorites. We love supporting local small businesses. This is one you should absolutely support! The coffee is great, they have some good unique themed drinks like the North Shore latte. The people are awesome, the staff and the other customers hanging around and in line. Especially the young man who was our cashier, he had some of the best personal skills, glad to see that in our future generation. They use locally roasted beans, have locally baked goods, and they are right off the main drag of a beautiful old downtown. Too bad for us, but good for them that they are closed on Sundays, or else we would have gone two...
