Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Georgetown

Before my family and I sat down, we heard that two other tables had problems with their food and that should’ve been the clear sign to leave. We heard a waitress say that the shift changed and there should be no problems with the food moving forward and we stayed. BIG MISTAKE! I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita with a sugar rim and received a strawberry marg with a salt rim. While waiting for the right drink, we received our apps and had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes because the plastic utensils that we asked for prior to didn’t arrive until I was able to flag another waiter down. By that time our appetizers were cold. There were 4 of us and we each got a 2 for 35, one of each of them included the blackened salmon. We started eating and the salmon was SUPER salty. borderline inedible. We sent both salmons back and was offered to get a replacement meal. I chose a Burger and specifically said; NO CHEESE AND NO PICKLES! Add lettuce, tomatoes, Mayo and ketchup. My sister in law ordered her replacement and the food came back after another 20-30 minutes and I received a PLAIN BURGER with no toppings or condiments. I informed our waiter of the clear mistake and he apologized and said that he would have them fix it and wrap up my sister in laws food up because at that point we have been waiting for about an hour or so to EAT! When the food came back it was all in to-go containers and wrapped up in a bag. I opened it to check the food and the burger was made wrong AGAIN with pickles on top! I am allergic, which is why I specifically said NO PICKLES! I asked for the manager and he apologized and stated that he will have it fixed and to finish enjoying my margarita while waiting for the next remake of the burger…. on an empty stomach I might add! We waited and guess what! The next burger was made the SAME WAY! We were completely annoyed and asked for the check. At that point, only 2 out of 4 of us were able to eat and 2 out of 7 meals that were made were able to be consumed! We we’re beyond OVER IT! The check came back and almost everything was still on there and they still charged us for both of the salmon that was sent back the first time! The manager came back to try and “rectify” the situation and was no help at all! They took $35 off the bill, but it was them including the salmon the was not eaten because it was SALTY. We were also told that we couldn’t bring the replacements that cannot be eaten in the first place home unless we would have to be charged for that as well. Terrible service! Not a good experience at all. I ordered my kids food before I could figure out what I wanted. My food came out first. I even ordered my salad after they had put the kids food order in and all of my food came out first. So kids ended up eating off my plate. The waitress and waiter could tell I was very displeased by this so they started rushing my kids food out bringing pieces of their food out at a time. My oldest daughter (8years) ordered a riblet basket and they bought out 2 riblets and a hand full of fries and promised her that the rest of her food was on its way out. My youngest (4years) entire meal was wrong so we had to send it back. She ended up having to wait for them to remake her entire meal. Meanwhile the waitress runs out with the rest of my eldest riblets (there were only 3 small pieces of riblets that looked like they broke one riblet into three pieces and threw them on a plate and put it in front if her). Mind you my daughters favorite food is honey barbeque ribs. Soooooo she knows exactly what they should look like. The look on her face was pure dissatisfaction when she looked at her plate then looked at me. I felt horrible i told her she didn't have to eat it and that I would cook her something to eat when we got home. After passing by us because they could tell we were unhappy the waiter finally brings the check and says we took off the riblet basket. I'm ok with that and could appriciate it but the whole time I'm like as long as we waited on our order the least they could have done was make the order right. Mind you everyone else around us seemed to get their entire orders out in a timely fashson and didn't seem to have not one issue with their food or service. I am very disappointed and honestly feel like they only took the riblets off out bill because they saw me taking photos of the ribs. The manager never came to talk to us nor apologize. I'm not a fan to be honest but my 5 yr old is so we just went on Friday and our experience was less than good to say the least. Food took about 1 hr to come out (this was around 7-8pm so I guess I should have known)... I asked for coffee and I got old 'warmed up' coffee which I find unacceptable. Minutes later a fly fell in my coffee so I requested a new cup of coffee which server was nice to bring after a bit of waiting just to find out it was again cold and old/reheated tasting... Asked nicely if I could get a fresh cup of coffee bc that one was cold and server offered to reheated to which I requested a freshly made cup of coffee and her response was that they didn't do that so I was shocked. I asked for a lemonade instead and my server was very graceful and brought it. Yes I understand it was Friday and it's a sports bar but then they should either specify that you'll get old gross coffee or just not have it available instead of offering such poor service. They were understaffed- therefore the long wait for sitting, ordering, getting food and poor service which means the manager was definitely not doing his/her job. Good was good and servers did the best they could given how busy they were and how short handed they were. The best thing and the reason my little one likes Applebee's was the meltdown dessert, which we love. Will I go back? I'll avoid it as much as possible till my little begs enough and u have no choice but to take her, this time will be to eat dessert only. Hope y'all have better luck if you...
