My family and I initially dined at Jason's Deli with hopes of having a decent meal as so many Georgetown restaurants are struggling to stay afloat and have about as good customer service as a bear with a sore behind. May it be noted, Jason's is no exception. Upon arriving at this establishment, I noticed an empty dining room and thought to myself, "Splendid, even if they are short staffed, it should not take too long for our food to greet our table." Wow was I wrong. Yes there were some cars in the drive thru but my family's order consisted of turkey sandwiches and a baked potato. As we were waiting for the delectable items, I couldn't help but observe the employees as they prepared our simple repast. What did I see you ask? Three employees inefficiently working on orders. I saw them set two of our sandwiches aside as they were awaiting chips. If I didn't know better I would have thought a worker super-glued our plates to the counter as my food was not touched for at least another fifteen minutes. I could have been more efficient making these orders drunk. After a solid half hour, our meal finally arrived and it was anything but good. Dry/hard bread catered with a baked potato better off living its life in the soil as natural fertilizer. The ice-cream, as usual, maintained a texture and taste that left no one surprised. Let's just say it, as normal, the ice-cream served a double role as an appetizer and a dessert given the long wait time for food. All in all, I must give this Jason's Deli one star as it was nothing short of a disappointment in regards to testing my patience, low quality food, and the price we paid for the meal. If I could make a couple of suggestions, simplify the menu down to the food items most frequently bought and it will accommodate the short number of employees, not to mention keeping up with inventory like I Keep Up With The Kardashians. I would also have the employees either embark on efficiency training or simply consuming Five Hour Energy drinks to speed up the process of...
Read moreI wanted to take a moment to recognize an amazing employee of the Georgetown location. Her name is Leslie, and she is one of the dearest people I've had the fortune to meet. I've only been twice, my first time was yesterday. Leslie was there and kept up very pleasant conversation as we waited for my order. I went back today for the gumbo, it left quite the impression on me. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, and my sense of taste and smell are completely out of wack, leaving my food options to few and far between. The gumbo was so good I had to have more and I got the added bonus of seeing Leslie again. I explained why I loved the soup and she was so sweet and understanding 💕 and then as she gives me my food, she hands me a gift card to say thank you for being nice to her!! I was completely blown away, this had never happened to me before. Jason's, you have a real, rare jewel in your company, I sure hope she is treasured amongst you. And to her manager Chelsea, again, good leadership naturally breeds and happy work environment, so a shout out to you as well, great job providing a happy workplace! As a manager for Whataburger, I know how hard it is out there to find and retain good people. Leslie is doing great work and is a source of pride for...
Read moreI do not think I will be returning to this Jason’s Deli for a good while…
To begin, my journey at this location began with a girl at the cash register who was clearly not a trained employee as she struggled with every step of our order, and she was, well let’s just say, not all there…
In contrast with other Jason’s Deli locations I have dined at, Georgetown wins first prize for being the slowest to make orders. I think the drive thru makes things much more difficult, and when I would see the workers behind the counter, many just stand there looking confused. I, for one, was confused as well. Nothing on the menu at Jason’s is challenging to prepare. As our food arrived, I realized that there was a mistake on my sandwich, prompting me to notify the employee who brought us our food, however, she kept pointing out the order receipt on the tray. I noticed the cashier had rung up part of our order incorrectly, but no one working understood that the problem started at the cash register! No, I was not changing my order after receiving my food.
Perhaps this location has better service at lunch, but I am disappointed that each time I come to Georgetown Jason’s it is a disappointment. It is best that I go to a different establishment when I am in the mood...
