ThunderCloud Subs — Restaurant in Georgetown

Horrible service. 6 people in building and employees kicked us out stating 10 people max or they and i could get fine 1000.00. We were 8 and 9. Very rude to us. Will never go back. Could have had a free meal had i not gone back in for the chips. Lol. They handed me the bag and no one asked for payment. . More details.... Sign on door states call in or online orders. I stood in front of store and called in the order as the sign stated. I waited 10 to 15 min. while watching people walk in and out. When i walked in i was told i had to leave and why( that was understandable) what was unacceptable was the fact that when i informed them that i was just picking up they stated that it didn't matter only 10 in building. I counted people. 3 employees, rest comtomers. Again we were number 9 and 10. If they are going to follow rules then the people in the building should have been turned away. They did not order in manner stated on the front door. I did follow directions and i was told to get out. Why where the people walking in and ordering not told to leave and order online or call it in? To owner.... How about in addition to customer service training you also teach that a rule posted on your business door is for everyone. Favor runner included. Ever since we moved to Georgetown we made our first trip to this particular Thundercloud. As is always the case we were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. It's super easy to place your order online and swing by the restaurant to pick it up a short time later. Nobody was there when we arrived. The double meat New York Italian is one of my favorites. I never get tired of it plus it always satisfies my cravings for a cold cut sub. But I love most all the other subs too! Great sandwiches, great institution.

Update 4/7/21: I was disappointed in my most recent visit. After picking up my online order of a small double meat hot pastrami I got home and discovered hardly any meat that was also cold. After several people suggested that I try their egg salad, we decided to stop by, we have never been to a Thundercloud Subs before and my family and I had high hopes for this becoming our local sandwich spot. Unfortunately, we were left standing at the counter and ignored by all 3 employees for 10 minutes. I even asked a lady in line behind me if this was normal for them, she regrettably informed me that it was a normal issue for this location. Needless to say we left here extremely disappointed.
