I never leave reviews for airport food because well it's airport food. It's designed to be quick, not gourmet. But everyone needs to be warned about this place.
Our first clue to leave should have been when they were confused about what carne and carnitas were. The family ahead of us had ordered 3 carne asada tacos but the employee had scooped chicken into all 3 tortillas. The gentleman ordering corrected them to let them know he'd ordered steak. They then had a discussion about whether pork was carnitas or carne. But it didn't matter because the man ahead of me was served chicken.
I then watched the employee use his (thankfully gloved and hopefully freshly gloved) hands to scoop the chicken off the tortillas and back into the serving pan. Got it - so I'll order steak and not chicken because I don't want those leftovers. However I would come to find out the steak tastes as sad and bland as it looked and ended up eating around it.
The woman working the register who was confused about carne vs. carnitas declared twice she was going on break and she seemed incredibly aggravated.
I ordered a bowl largely without incident though they let me know I didn't get roasted veggies added because I didn't ask for them, despite the menu saying they come standard. No biggie, they added them. My husband ordered a steak quesadilla and asked for roasted veggies and was advised it'd be extra. He declined. The person in line behind him ordered the same thing and asked if the veggies were extra. He was advised they could be included for no cost. Ok?
We paid and asked for our chips and salsa that came with all meals. After paying, the employee was still getting our chips and salsa. He then asked if we wanted queso. We said ok, then he did not add it. Which was fine since we hadnt paid but it was just an odd interaction.
Employees seem like they are on substances and untrained. Food is bland. Go to Willy's on Concourse B if you want...
Read moreThe worst attitude I have ever encountered. Why are these employees so rude? Who owns this place that they allow this type of behavior?
Woman gives me an attitude because I asked for an empty cup which I offered to pay for. She told me they were "down" so she couldn't do anything. She has plenty of time to talk to her friend. She was having a conversation with someone at the time she tells me (with a huge attitude) they are down. Unreal. These people are getting paid to do a job, a large part of that job that she chose is customer service centric. If she doesnt like people or want to deal with the public, she should find a new career.
This took place in terminal C by gate 52 @ 10:50am. Whoever the owner is of this place should replace her immediately. How the owner allows this level of service is insane. The fact that they have 2.9 stars on Google (which is really hard to do. You have to try to be so bad that people give you one and two star rating consistently).
I would never spend a single cent on anything "Baja Fresh" had to offer and any chance i get to negatively score them, I will. This place is a joke and Hartsfield international should remove this place from its offerings.
Whoever the owner is, I hope you read this and shame on you for driving your business...
Read moreI travel through the Atlanta airport dozens of times a year on business and as a result, end up eating quite a few meals at the airport. After giving them two chances, I've determined Baja Fresh has perhaps the worst customer service out of any of the airport eateries. The staff is not interested in listening to the customer, instead taking amongst themselves very loudly about whatever topic they apparently feel the rest of the airport should be hearing about. All this noise they create also has the added side benefit for them to not be able to hear the customers order. This second time resulted in a meal being tossed and $20 being wasted. They somehow even screwed up giving me a bottle of Coke by giving me one that was sticky all over for some reason. Now my plane is about to take off so still very hungry, I'll leave you with my quick summary: try any of their competitors in the airport and you'll end...
