Chili’s in Snellville – A Disappointing Decline in Value and Experience
I used to be a loyal fan of Chili’s in Snellville. It was my go-to lunch spot for years—a place where I could enjoy a solid, affordable meal with decent service, a relaxed environment, and a few reliable menu favorites that never failed to hit the spot. The “3 for Me” deal and the dedicated lunch menu made Chili’s feel like it truly understood the needs of everyday customers, especially those of us who wanted a quick, satisfying bite without breaking the bank.
Unfortunately, that experience has slowly been chipped away. What once made Chili’s a dependable and budget-friendly option is now gone. The “3 for Me” menu—once filled with a great variety of lunch-sized portions at reasonable prices—has been gutted. The items I used to order have all been removed. No more chicken crispers. No more half sandwiches with a cup of soup or a side salad. No more tasty yet affordable lunch specials that made me feel like I was getting a good deal.
Now, if you want to eat lunch at Chili’s, you’re looking at spending well over $15 per person after tax and tip—and that’s for just the basics. What used to be a $9–$10 lunch has increased in cost by 50% or more, with very little added value to justify the jump in price. And this isn’t just an inflation issue. It feels more like a deliberate corporate strategy: eliminate the value menus, push customers toward higher-priced entrees, and cut back on any incentive to return.
To make matters worse, Chili’s has also stopped sending out regular coupons and rewards to app users and email subscribers. I used to receive promotions regularly—BOGO deals, discounts, loyalty perks. Those little gestures actually made me feel appreciated as a repeat customer. But lately? Nothing. No app deals, no member rewards, not even the occasional “thanks for being a loyal guest” email. It’s as if they’ve decided they no longer care about maintaining customer relationships.
I understand that every business has to make money and adapt to changing times, but the way Chili’s has gone about it feels short-sighted. Raising prices while simultaneously removing customer perks is not a sustainable strategy. It pushes away the very people who used to keep your dining rooms full during lunch hours and off-peak times. From a business perspective, that seems like a misstep.
So after years of patronage, I’ve stopped going. I’ve deleted the Chili’s app from my phone. I no longer recommend it to friends or coworkers looking for a place to grab lunch. There are just too many other restaurants out there offering better food, more value, and a stronger sense of customer appreciation.
It really is a shame. Chili’s in Snellville used to be one of my favorites. But with all the cuts to quality, value, and incentives, it no longer feels worth the visit. I hope they turn it around someday—but for now, I’m taking my...
Read moreWooow, alright. This is absolutely awful. The manager on duty took care of us with as soon as he became aware of the issue. I came out to eat while running errands around town. Over all we were there for over an hour. I fully understand it is Sunday and Sunday is rough for the restaurant business, BUT we were sitting there got our drinks then ordered about 5-10 minutes after being seated. Got a trio fajitas, no green peppers. I notice that the ziosk light for the "pay now" has not lit up, and being that I've worked at establishments that use this things, I know once you put food in and send it to the kitchen the pay now tab turns to green from being greyed out. At about 1435 I go up to the host stand and ask what the timer says for how long we have been sat, the lovely host let me know we were sitting for 41 minutes at that point. Our server had brought us refill drinks without us asking which is great by this point. She comes back after I had gone up to the host stand and she says "I'm so sorry it's taking so long would you care for some chips and salsa. We deny them. A moment after she leaves I see that the light had popped green. LOOKY there! She then comes back to ask why I we can't have green peppers in the fajitas. I'm sorry excuse me!?! It's well on to 50 minutes after we ordered! If you have a question about our order please for the love of god ask SHORTLY after taking our order. The manager got involved, the people seated behind us, who was not seated until 25-30 minutes after we were seated, received their food. The manager brings us our sides for the fajitas and apologies for the confusion of our food order. We get the food, the steak was great, the rest of it was unremarkable and moderate at the greatest. Our bill was taken care for us. We over all saw our server maybe 4 times. Other tables seemed content. I sadly will not ever be back. That...
Read moreOnce arriving we went in to see if it was a wait time, they said it wasn’t a wait time but they needed to clean tables so therefore give them about 10 to 15 mins. We waited outside in the car for about 15 mins went inside and was greeted but was told to give her a moment she had to clean a table, which is crazy because you told us that 15 mins ago, she seated us about 3 mins later. We waited about 15 mins before anyone even acknowledged the fact that we needed a server, a server asked has we been seen we stated no and she said she’ll be with us shortly. Once getting to us we placed our order, I ordered appetizers and entrees & plus a kid meal; 2 adults, 1 kid & a infant. It took her about 15 mins to even come back with our drinks which is insane. So we are patiently waiting the kid meals comes out about 45 mins later, and the appetizers and entrees after about another 15 mins so we waited a total of an hour to get our food. My son was finished with his meal by the time the entrees and appetizers arrived. Before I could begin to even eat my food I felt it and it was cold, but that’s not the kicker, the kicker is my food had hair in it, you can see in the photo below. The other entree the food was hot except one item. I asked my server to get the manager( I didn’t tell the server ghe problem before hand) I jus wanted to talk directly to the manager. I waited about 10 mins for the manager Andrea to come and when she does decide to come she states “you need me”. A terrible way to greet your paying customers, no respect no nothing. I then tell her I had hair in my food etc. that I didn’t want it or for them to remake it just take it off my ticket and the only thing she says is OK. She didn’t apologize or anything, she just gave me a ok. Unbelievable! I will never ever come to this...
